Not sure how this happened, but.....

Scanning my news feed on Facebook, comes to "people you may know" first two were guys from here.

Clicks on first profile, guy I met when I first started on fab, we are still in contact now and again. But during the time I've known him, he's gone and got engaged and married!!!

I didn't have a clue!!!

So, suppose this is just a small wake up call to those not so single guys on here, you will get found out in the end, one way or another

I do. My Facebook has only friends and family, so not even sure how it's matched me with the guys. Even checked if it was sync-ed with something and it wasn't

Possibly phone number. You may have the same number for him as he has on his profile.

Why the heck would I want my family, friends & work colleagues to know about this lot & why would I want the guys I meet on fab to know anything about my personal life? It's called discretion

I am sure this is a privacy option on Fab. If you choose your profile to show up on Search engines they will put two and two together on any bit of information they can find. You can turn it off I am sure.

My profile on here is all private. I dont show on any search engines etc etc. So I don't think it's linked via that option

I don't think it has anything to do with your privacy options here on Fab. It's Facebooks changed once again.

Anybody you have stored as a phone number in your mobile Facebook has somehow looked at those and suggested that you may want them as friends... I've usually kept my nawty friends separate to my fab friends but here we go... It's very difficult to keep up with all the technology changes lol.

I had whatsapp on my old phone, but not this one. All rather strange and odd!!!

Not that I've anything to hide!!! Now wonder if I should mention it the next time he gets in contact!!!

This also happened to me. I'm such a hopeless technophobe that I never made the connection with phonebooks. That explanation is better I suppose, than the suspicion of being stalked..

Facebook only shows friends of mutual friends. Very strange

Deleting my own number? It doesn't seem to let me... This is a privacy issue though as I dint want book club and fab contacts in the same place
