But there are, especially in the north east ...

Caz and Shocks really try hard to get them organised, and there's the Fab camp too.

I know there's not a lot "going on" in the north west, but you do have Pennant Hall

Yup, start small, and you will be surprised how fast they grow!

Pick a fairly central location, find a pub, and just say that, if there's enough interest, you will be having a social there.

You can judge how well it will go from the response on the thread... and have a fun night!

After that, judge how successful it was, and if you think it could be a regular-ish thing, try to book a small function room in a pub or club somewhere so you can make it a more private affair, and have a door list of names.

From there, as it gets more popular, book a larger room.... and soon there'll be loads of you lol!

Hope it goes well!!

I guess in response to the original question as to why do the south have more socials its pretty simple, the south is far more densely populated with only 2 out of the 15 towns/cities with the highest population based up north, The cardiff metropolitan area alone (cardiff-newport) is around a third of the entire population of wales. (Too much time on my hands today!)

But like someone said, Bridgend is relatively small in terms of population yet holds fantastic socials. with around a 100+ people attending, it's all down to networking and investing the time in staging them as the organisers spend a vast amount of their time sorting everything out
