Not too far away ... National Trust properties at Bodnant, Erddig and Chirk Castle.

The World Heritage Site of the Pontcysyllte Aquaduct ... Take a canal boat over or walk on the three foot wide path

Llangollen if you're in the vicinity too.

Further West take a train ride from Llandudno Junction to Blaenau Ffestiniog and then the Welsh Highland Railway down to Porthmadog.

If you're feeling "sociable" then there's Pennant Hall on a Tuesday

"Can we a daily blog of your adventures ? "

Errrrrmmm if you really want one.

After a leisurely lie in and a late brekkie we set off for a little drive round to get our bearings.

Drove into Rhyl and hut the tourist info office for maps and pamplets. Pootled into town to the wool shop then some lunch before heading off to Penmaenmawr beach to sit in the (breezy) sunshine and natter, drink hot choc from the flask and crochet - the jet set have nothing on me!

Back to base for tea (veggie sausage cassoulet we'd left bubbling in the slow cooker before we went out) before we hit the pub for a major session. Of bingo.

Then back to our chalet (no expense spared, all mod cons, leccy and everything) for more crochet and some crappy gossip mags.

The highlight of our day was sitting in the sunshine as a helpful young man cleaned the floor cos it wasn't up to snuff when we arrived!

Tomorrow we're going all religious and planning to see if I melt on contact with holy water.

Result!

Contact with holy water does NOT burn!

Spent the day so far getting all religious. St Winefride followed by St Asaph. Then a leisurely pub lunch.

And if I can hoist my belly out of my chair we'll be off swimming in a bit.

Conwy, Castle, Town Walls, Quay with smallest house in GB, Lots more too....
