"No wonder it's in the press with all these constant socials. Swinging used to be like a secret society but now all the idiots are parading around various Welsh towns and cities bragging about swinging. These idiots are putting everyone's privacy at risk. This is purely our view and not a statement of fact so all the pro social crowd, you can put your knives away. " Your right, it's not like it's that hard to sign up here as a single female (or whatever), get fake verified, and then ask to be accepted to the socials and get all the details. Simply, socials are not private and you should expect things to get in the public domain. House parties with people you know, are more likely to be kept secret and no press intrusion.

"I have to agree with us socials have gone from a once a month event to several a month add the comments of "dirty dancing" and "fight" and no wonder the press latched onto it when I'm fact they are nothing more than a normal night out. private parties and clubs are the way forward, its a shame I liked socials but I like my privacy more." Think the press got hold of it, cos it was a swingers social in a conservative club, if that was correct, only going what was in the press If true the story is right there..

"If the story above is true then the place used was stupid but as organisers it must be hard finding places so I ain't going to have a go at them. The choice of where is just simply minding numbingly stupid. Take Tredegar for instance, a small town.where everyone knows everyone's business There's a good chance a.member of the public will know one.or two swinging cpls who.attend. When they observe the flirting or in.some cases showing off,it isn't going to take them long to work the rest out. Stop trying to make swinging mainstream. It's the naughtiness of it all that gives it it's thrill. " Well said mate

Are clubs any 'safer' than socials? At least with socials, the organisers have a chance to vet would-be attendees. With clubs, it seems you only have to pitch up, pay your money and you're in.

" There were no so called idiots parading around claiming they were swingers the fact is somebody from fab with thier own agenda actually phoned the press and told them about the social . And i would suggest that everybodys privacy is paramount to them some could for instance lose thier jobs if it became known they swung. And this could happen at a club or a private house party it only takes 1 person with a personel vendetta to upset the apple cart. In fact i have known this to happen a single fem organised a house party and someone who wasnt invited or just had a grudge actually informed the neighbours and when people were turning up they were shouting slags etc to all the females that attended. So you see nothing is safe on here or foolproof (unfortunatly) you just have to be as careful and descrete as you can.

" Someone got turned away from a party that we were late to once, due to the fact that they had caused trouble before, so they decided to call the Police! By the time we got there all the excitement was over, if someone wants to cause trouble or embarrassment they will.

""Are clubs any 'safer' than socials?" In my opinion clubs are safer, there are strict rules at clubs, such as the appropriate and desired conduct while attending them. "At least with socials, the organisers have a chance to vet would-be attendees" Your having a laugh, all you need to do is put your name down on the forum and generally there is a "your on the list" reply. Hardly robust vetting. "With clubs, it seems you only have to pitch up, pay your money and you're in." You'll find that many will require ID in order to secure a membership or entry If someone "has a personal vendetta" against someone on here then there is little you can do about it sadly. Regardless the content obtained and used in the resulting press release was obtained from a non-registered part of the site." As I've said before, I have no experience of clubs in the UK or socials full stop but I read comments (denied by the organisers) that there's a list of those unwelcome at socials. Whilst being required to produce ID is probably a good thing, it tends only to prove who you are and not who you're not. Even a passport doesn't show your profession any more.

"Given the location of the event I would have been more surprise if it didn't make the press. Swingers party at the conservite club! It's only the party in government in an area of strong labour following.. It was always going to be of interest to the press. If you had of held the event else where it would have been of next to no interest." I dont think that was the problem, apparently the venue holds TV socials every month, surely that would have been of interest to the press too? This was down to someone deciding to fuck things up for this social in particular, and swingers in South Wales in general... someone with an axe to grind who didnt mind who else got splattered when the shit hit the fan.

"Let's put things right, there was a couple on here who told the press about the social, they had a grievance with the organisers. Like many others they were on our friends list, unfortunately they gave the name of the site to the press and that is why ours and so many others pics have been hidden and everyone is wary as to whom they talk to and add as friends. Yes it was held in a con club but so what, the main problem was that there were people's profile pics shown which could easily be identified in the report. Bridgend social is one of the best and we sincerely hope it continues as with all the others well done to the organisers of all these events you do an absolute amazing job xxxDDxxx " Well said, totally agree!
