i gave up about five six years ago. I bought a 1.89 plastic fag from asda called Crafe Away nothing special but ya puff on it and it relaxes you when you inhale really only air and gives ya something to hold in your hand. It worked for me. Try give it a go. Good luck anyway

I gave up a year ago because so many people wouldnt meet a "smoker" lol... all I used was a packet of fruit polos and a packet of mint polos.

Every time you want a ciggy, have a mint/fruit polo and try to concentrate on something else. After a week its second nature and you are well in your way.

Good luck mucker

Can had patches off the doc and over 3 months dropped them. And now used e occasionally. Much better than stopping suddenly.good luck with it.not only will your health be better but you'll be a much richer man.

Give yourself a treat, buy something for your hobby, buy something nice for yourself, and remember it was the fag money that bought it for you. Do this now and again, it will be well worth in the long term, not smelly, no dry hair/skin, yellow teeth, no hanging around outdoors looking pathetic

Good news - after 7 days the physical cravings will have stopped and most of the nicotine will be out of your system

That was the hardest part - what you need to focus on now is overcoming the habit - the way I did it was to do all the things I would normally do when smoking - and tell myself how much better it was without the fags.

7 days is quite an achievement - keep going...

just to add - tell yourself you are enjoying being a non-smoker - it's not an ordeal its an achievement....

Just think about your health & put your daily spend on cigs into a pot - you will be surprised. Gave up 30 years ago & never looked back. People who do smoke stink - simple as that!

When I was in the RAF, I tried packing up using patches for about 5 years issued to me by doctor (Station Medical Officer). Then one day the SMO told me to report to the Health Nurse and she sat me and we chatted (counselled me) and I had to keep in contact with her every other day and especially if I felt the urge. That support was critical....having someone to talk to and it was the easiest thing to do.....talk. Unlike previous occasions, I knew that if I was to have just one cigarette, I'd be hooked again....so in short, If your mind is sorted and you don't have a quick drag....even one drag...it can be done. Be strong, you'll never regret it. Good luck

i keep on promising myself every morning i will not let myself down and so far its working fairplay

most of all thank you lot for the support mwah and cwtch to you all xxxxxx

wouldn't it be nice if someone else could find some inspiration and give some habbit up themselves that would make my day xxxx

Quit three years ago after noticing patch was attached to jeans and not my arm, figured ain't had a craving all day so don't need patches any more.

Was on 30 a day first time I quit then went to rolls went up to 40 a day till three years ago.

Sounds werid but if u can go to a sanua for three days straight ,u will sweat out all nicotine which will make quoting easier
