Ok time for a little rant

What is wiv txt talk

We have received numerous messages lately and hardly any have a full sentence without a pointless abbreviation.

With=wiv it's only 1 letter shorter. Why would you bother

Should=shud. Really!!!

Txt= text please refer to example 1.

It's now got to a stage where will not reply to anyone that can not spell or use proper English (welsh is fine)

How do you all feel about it?

Oh and don't get me started on punctuation!

It's the same for me. I get so frustrated with it I end up just deleting the messages. I find the people who use it are, for me, the ones I cannot make a connection with.

To be honest, I cannot think of a bigger turn off.

People who are lazy enough to revert to not being able to spell cannot be worth the effort.

pisses me off when people judge,not everyone is lazy and not all of us can spell and if you think I,m gonna waste my time using spell check then think again, my poor grammer and spelling and lack of punctuation has never stopped me getting meets,if it bothers anyone then tuf shit its there problem not mine

Before one commences to beat others with a corrective stick, shouldn't one ensure that they are faultless from the outset?

Now if the line in your original post had read "it's got to the stage now where we will not reply to anyone that can not spell, or use proper English"

However it doesn't (please feel free to take the time to re-read it)so where does that leave you with your proverbial text user beating stick, and please let's not start on the incorrect use of grammar, and punctuation

Copied + pasted this since i only just written it yesterday on another thread:Anyway adding my personal opinon(same as hubbys!)Textspeak when TEXTING is fine.On a profile:turn off for us.Some only have 1 or 2 sentences and can't spare the time for a few more keystrokes?We got no sparetime for them

Textspeak in messages:turn off for us.A message is the '2nd impression' since we always look at the senders profile before opening.We are looking for likeminded people and as all our first messages are in full sentences and include a greeting! we doubt that textspeakers are for us.We like fabsters, who like us, make an effort

Adding this:yes it's a swinging site BUT before sex comes talking/chatting and before face to face talking comes contact via messages and we know what type of messages we like

so you do make it sound like achat site everybodys different mun some like text speak cos we use our phone alot and dnt do the spell check thing so that in itself is dishonest its just quicker just to do it how you feel is best do we win marks for grammer now as well lol
