Apparently a new club is opening in Cardiff called Club Rendezvous. I was wonder if anyone has heard much about it, if they are going to go.

Hubby just read about it on another site:the opening night 26.9 is a Gangbang night a fem pornstar is to be 'used'.Not sure a Gangbang(for which the organizer still wants more guys!) is the right event for an opening night of a new swingersclub.

There is a Rendevous Club in Bridgend which is an over 30s singles club maybe people getting confused i cant find anything about one opening in cardiff

I'm very sorry to have to announce that due to such a wave of negativity and all round resistance I have had to put back the club, and as such have taken the site off line for the time being. The general population of die-hard Cardiff BDSM'ers have caused me no end of unnecessary problems.

There is lots of skeptasism about this (on another site - kink related) The person who posted about the event has now deactivated their account - so not too promising.

Its meant to be based in Grangetown in Cardiff. The price for guys for the gangbang night is £70 (you can get a hooker for less!)

The website has been up and down - when I've viewed it, it was very unprofessional and basic and had no pictures featuring the venue itself - just lots of porn pics.

There seems to be extreme ranges in membership prices and admittance prices for men, women, singles and couples.

It hasn't been received very well on the other site at all.

Th club opening is on hold for now due to interfering and maliciousness from the local bdsm community but it WILL go ahead. I'm sure they'll be posting details on here at some point.

So, is it a fet club, or a swing club, or both?

If he has a permanent venue (i.e. a "club" rather than someones house), and is intending to establish a kosher business, then maybe he should be encouraged.

If, however, it's just an attempt to earn a quick buck hiring out a "porn star" for gangbangs to desperate guys with a few quid and a desperate need, then he needs to be outed.

I guess only time will tell, but if he's this easily discouraged then maybe thats a precursor to how things will go.

Just googled and found the site. More of a vision for a club then an actual club. If it gets off the ground, Just like any club, some people will love it and some will hate it. If not enough love it then it will close. It's up to the person throwing money at it to do his research and what he thinks will work. Not sure his links to the porn industry necessarily guarantee success in his club though.

I'm sure lots of us would run the 'perfect' swingers club in our heads but in reality not many people have the money, property and vision to do it.

Will be interesting to wait and see what comes of it

They talk about hostility from the local BDSM community but we certainly would be open minded and supportive to any new venture if it was established with the right intentions and was not just designed to make a fast buck. Sometimes it is necessary to look closer to home for why a club has failed. Certainly it seems confused in its marketing and money making seems to be high on its list of priorities. Hopefully our cynicusm is misplaced as we need a new club in Cardiff but time will tell.
