Seen a few fatalities. It's certainly a harrowing experience.

try my job or even worst a firemans you get hardened to it and get a taste for black humor a good thing is to learn first aid at least you could do something and you would feel better by helping ... no injuries are nice to see burns are the worst as they are nearly all life changing and its even worst when its children con only wish you well be strong

Saw a motorcyclist and his pillion (pretty slim girl) on thenlink between m25 and m1 a few years ago. He lost it and slid up the road.

It would all have been fine except he was in all the gear and was protected.she was just in helmet, t shirt/jacket and jeans..no PPE at all really.

The jeans abraded inside 1 second as they were fashion jeans and she left most of her thigh and ass on the road.

When i went past the ambulance was picking her up :-/

Stayed with me for months that one as i was doing my IAM training at the time :-/

being an ex pc i have dealt with many horrific sights over the years and they do stay with you unfortunatly.......

these things happen in life and a lot worse. we have to get on with it and move forward. its good to hear the lady is recovering as the human body is a wonderful thing.

The important thing is to talk about these things, sadly when i was serving there were no such things as coucilling etc, which no doubt help some people.

like ive said in other of your posts keep your head up and stay positive.....
