I've been offered a couple of months work in Newport and wondered if anyone could recommend a hotel or somewhere to stay.

I was also thinking of maybe getting a house or flat share, so tips on nice areas or places to avoid would be good.

loads of nice places especially just outside Newport........ coach and horses on a48 nice pub has premier inn attached and used by swingers a lot.... roman lodge caerleon good too

Depends on your budget, as op said, also the Ibis hotel,.very basic but cheap, just off junction 26 m4

Thanks for the info.

Premier Inn doesn't look too bad and is only about 10 mins from where I need to be.

Stayed in the Ibis the other day, it's very basic.
