The beach being discussed is actually called Kenfig Sands. It would be great if users in here helped get that more commonly known. If you don’t live locally then best way is to park at Kenfig Nature Reserve, or Mawdlam and walk through the dunes 👍

Is the walk better from Mawdlam? And where is Mawdlam? I've gone via the nature reserve previously

Maudlam is the place where Kenfig pool is. You can park at rest bay and walk the footpath across. Neither way is short though

Mawdlam is right alongside the M4, opposite side to North Cornelly. The path from there comes out at the Kenfig River end of the beach 👍

That sounds amazing. I have been there twice. Got pestered the first time by guys wanting to play. I was there purely to sunbathe naked. The thing that puts me off is the long walk to the beach in this heat.. I don't go in the sea so jellyfish wouldn't bother me 😅

I want to go down there tomorrow if time allows, so if you want someone to point you in the right direction, it's worth asking. That, and I really need to work on my tan.

It’s definitely not the quickest but I walked in from rest bay along by the golf course as soon as your past that bit it’s a lovely if not long walk along the beach to the very far end.

This way is definitely not the quickest but i enjoy walking and trying to cover the costal path in sections as well so win win

Its getting a move on really. I find the dunes easier as grass is so much easier to walk on than soft sand. Some of the pathways are only narrow but all lead down to the sea. If in doubt climb one of the larger dunes and orient yourself toward the sea and juat make a beeline. There is hardly any mud atm because its so dry. Saying that I turn a wrong path yesterday and went too far sideways

I park by the church at Mawdlam and there's a straight path from there to the beach that comes out right at the start of _he nudist section. Unlike going up and down over the dunes, that path is mostly flat as the ponds don't have any water in at this time of year. It takes me around 25 to 30 mins. Feel free to DM me and I'll send a screenshot of a map showing the path
