Rules for dogging. (Sorry lol)

I know another post about dogging lol. But, me and my husband are new to it and never been. We want to try it, but have heard so many different rules. 1, indoor light equals just playing and allowing watchers. 2, window down equals fondling welcome. Ca. Someone please just clarify all this so we dont look like total idiots. Thanks all.
