Clase, Swansea

Hi everyone, myself (bi) and my husband (orally bi) are looking to go to the greenhouse Newport for my birthday on the 28th, we’re staying in he Waterloo afterwards, it’s our first time going and I’m a bit nervous, can anyone give me an idea of what to expect? It would be nice to meet someone beforehand to hold our hands so to speak,

Do we need to pay a membership and bring id or is it just pay on the door? If so how much?

Do we arrive in normal clothes and get changed there? Can I bring a small amount of alcohol and do we keep it in lockers? Any other info to make us feel comfortable would be great,

As the 28th is bi night it will be pay at the door, you arrive in normal clothes then change in the changing rooms once inside. You can take alcohol with you but it's left safe behind the bar and they give you a number. Unfortunately I couldn't message you privately as I'm out of your age bracket but I would have happily met you for drinks before hand and accompanied you into the club.

If you end up going regularly, you’ll see the same faces week in, week out. It does get a tad boring after a while….

Hi both, firstly happy birthday.

The club is full of friendly people that will make you feel welcome and comfortable. A lot of us “regulars” usually spot a newbie and will chat to you.

There’s always someone who’s willing to give you a tour of the club too.

Best advice is to put yourselves out there and talk to people.

I always look at it as a social night and any fun is a bonus.

Hope you both have a fantastic evening

I'm happy to give the grand tour if you see me, just say hi.

I've found the nights to be hit and miss recently, but like most things.... You get what you want out of it.

Hope you have an amazing first night, and it will be nice to meet you x

Hi Happy birthday , on Saturdays it's pay at the door£20 each give Dave or Kev any alcohol you wish to take they will then put your locker key number on it and place at the bar ,

At the end of the night you hand over the locker key and settle your bill

you'll be asked if you'd like towels then on to the changing rooms get changed , men normally wear boxers under the towel or some go naked , ladies wear sexy lingerie

When you want a drink you go to the bar and they serve you , they sell soft drinks tea coffee and food

It can be daunting when your new but it's normally a good vibe and as others said some days good some quiet but you make of it to what suits you

Any unwanted attention make it clear verbally from the start , any problems let the staff know

There's lots to see over 3 floors so don't be surprised if you get lost but there's always someone there to guide you

Just go with an open mind and enjoy

Me an hubby go regularly and be happy to show you guys around

Issue is with chams being the only club in south Wales, it's the only place locals/same faces can really go. People across the water/ midlands have many clubs much closer

As far as I know the only club in Bristol is dare 2 and I wouldn’t rate that, however, quite a few bristol people come over to the greenhouse/chams

As a single woman who rarely takes company to the club I’m thankful there are the same faces there. It’s like going to the pub with friends and I know I’ll always have someone to chat to. When you see the same people you forge friendships and look out for each other. That’s what swinging is all about after all, we are a community. The sex is a bonus and personally I’m never bored.

It’s a fantastic environment, full of sexual liberation and acceptance.

I would encourage anyone to experience it

I have to agree with you PQ. I’ve had some fantastic nights at the club with friends and there has been no sex involved whatsoever

If you find the club boring don’t go , simple.

Spread your wings try clubs further afield .

Ive been attending clubs and parties for years on my own and with friends all over England.

One of my closet friends on here I met at a party in London.

It’s good to try new places and meet new people .You get back what you put in as with anything in life

Exactly this! I love knowing there’s always friends at the club even if I decide to turn up, unannounced at the last minute. It’s only boring if you don’t engage with people. The conversations make the night a lot more fun rather than just getting dicked all night.

There’s a lot of people from Bristol who do regularly visit which I think is a huge fabby bonus, when they have alternative options on their door step and also within the same driving time to get to Newport.

Newport chams/greenhouse is its own little Welsh community and there’s nothing boring about that!

I know a few that travel over… Bristol clubs are not that great. Bristol could do with a decent club to be honest.

I’ve been going Chams for 25 years

Never had one boring nite , it is what u make of it

Yer regulars .. that’s what makes it , like going to your local pub but with no clothes on

Staff are amazing , very safe place , always a top laff

Fri or sat both great nites

Newbies always looked after by the regulars … shown around , chatted to ..

We’ve been to other clubs and u don’t always get that as newbies ..

If u find Chams boring, stick at home with ya coco and coronation street

Loving the love on here for our little club!

It's my favourite place to be in my free time. It's lush to know you all in this pub from a bygone era without phones and other distractions. It is what you make of it, put the effort in and you'll get the rewards of a great night and a safe place to be.

We must support this little treasure of a club or it will go and our corner of the world will be all the poorer for it.

Support it with your patronage, invite fresh faces, be kind to each other and maybe add some face to face benches in the smoking area to help the conversation flow and possibly a cold dip to cook down after hottubbing.
