I would love this idea for a play space as these are hard to find but it seems a little pointless for socials as they can be held anywhere. That's just my opinion of course

My thoughts exactly!

I wouldn't be choosing to pay an annual membership fee for a social space, what features actually make this stand out from any other no play social bars and pubs?

The issue is that all councils are dead against play spaces and will simply just refuse applications I have spoken to three councils about this

I also appreciate socials can be help anywhere but a place dedicate to swinging socials as some people worry about whose around or can over hear

I take your feedback on board though

Such a shame that councils have such limiting views on this subject.

Done well, an exclusive social space would be nice, but I'm not sure it would be very cost effective, as the need is for play space. I suppose showing that a well run, exclusive social space is sustainable, may influence authorities to be me open minded?

Exactly but a venue where people could meet with not being over heard by Joe Public and meet genuine people looking for fun in our opinion is perfect

Fab is great but we find it hard recently to meet anyone all chatter no action it seems

There’s so many venues to be hired privately as already done that provide social spaces but also closed to the public events (mainly on other sites) with stalls and demos I don’t think it would be successful.

Over time I have been to many events/parties in privately owned houses or others that have been rented for the occasion. Some of the venues have been stunning . Many of the old crowd on her will remember Wild Passions and Mandyshandys.

It is just an idea but I understand it may not be the avenue you want to go down .

We did try that before very successful but rather than rent a venue it would be everyone's to use a safe space for newbies and ppl of old do to speak
