What are your opinions?

For me it's the 1980's, between fast changing music and so many good rock bands, it was the best decade. Dory x

Kisses likes the late 80s to early 90s

anywhere near you

Being a former dj I got loads of different genres and decades. Love 60s rock n roll. 70s rock punk ska and disco. 80s for the rebellious styles from new wave pop synth. power ballards to early rave. 90s for britpop and club music. And hard rock.

So to answer I think the 70s is the decade for music

There’s an argument to be made that now is possibly the best for music in terms of variety and being able to get your music out there as an artist.

It’s a lot easier to self publish music nowadays without signing to a major label, and social media provides a great platform to discover new music.

Best decade was 70's.

Glam rock at start, then punk rock at the end of the 70's.

Music did go a bit crap between 74 to late 76.

I love so many different types of music from literally the 50s right through to modern day. But if I was to pick 2 years of music with shed loads of banging songs it's gotta be 1984 and 85 for me.

"So many of my favourite albums were released in 95"

96 is a stand out year of the 90s for me. Left school and went to the old ponty college. So many songs remind me of those days

Unfortunately, although there is more music available. Self publishing means that there's no body acting as a gate keeper so it's no guarantee of quality originality or creativity. Also it is very difficult to find new music that you like precisely as there is so much of it.

I've seen it reported that ones musical taste is set by ones 15th birthday. Each generation, 'discovers' it's own musical heroes. So any question like this is hokbf to get very subjective answers and more or less in line with the person's age rather than anything else.
