Kenfig or monknash

Hey all I know it's a bit early to ask but me and a female friend are looking to visit our first nude beach this summer, which one is best? Thanks in advance

Kenfig has quite a walk to get to what is known as _he nudist part, so comfortable shoes are essential. I find the walk best in walking boots to be honest. I went a few times last year. As a single woman I was pestered a few times. I go there purely to sunbathe naked as a sun worshipper, so it was a bit of a nuisance. I just told them I wasn't interested and got back to reading my book

Thanks yeah I can imagine you did, I was wondering to what level the pestering would be lol. Any experience with monknash?

Monknash is rocky, the option of using the ladder route saved being cut off by the tide. Kenfig is good but the walk does my head in

I much prefer monknash as I find the walk (and ladder especially since being renewed) much nicer than the walk to kenfig.

I’ve only had one bad experience at monknash but I had been rather naughty on the beach and then a guy followed me whilst having a tug back up to the fields - when I gave him a row he disappeared.

Where do you park for monknash. Is it by the sty in the wall in the village then a walk across the field or is it park in southerndown

Thanks all for the reply's, sounds like monknash is a shorter walk then, bare in mind I don't think she will like the ladder due to heights, isit bad? To be fair we would probably be naughty also lol sorry to hear you had a bad experience though

Stepping onto the ladder descending can be a bit hair raising if she doesn’t like heights. You can park in the farmers field with the honesty box but then the tide time is important. Worth it though, I’ve had some great times there

I find both sites have their advantages and disadvantages. Monknash good as the walk across the coastal path and down the ladder is nice easy and safe. No danger of being ut off by tide due to ladder access. You can bath on the rocks for discretion or on the beach if not too worried about the occasional walkers.

Kenfig feels like a longer walk made harder by the walking through the sand dunes until you get to the oastal path. Be prepared for a 40 min walk to _he nudist area.

I like both sites though. Nottoo much hassle and most people ha e been friendly and not hasseled me. Though you can get the odd awkward person. Hope you gettoone or both of them and please message me as I do prefer a bit of company when I go. Good luck both.

It has to be Kenfig for us the tide and ladder issues at Monknash is a bit of a nightmare tbh .. they are both very good places for nudists though so why not try both. xx

Kenfig is definitely my favourite. Been a few times as a cpl as well. Yes it’s a good walk but well worth it. Actually u could be anywhere in the world when ur there. It’s so beautiful. U get the odd guys walking past but they have always been polite and if ur not interested they leave u alone.

We prefer Kenfig it has more secluded areas if you want fun. The walk is awful to both but we find it is more "open" at Monknash and the walk to Kenfig is so much more interesting. Can't wait for summer, just hope it's warmer than last year.

Was down monknash today and didn't realise it was a nudist beach. Me and a friend were up on the cliff watching the tide when two went skinny dipping and I asked her I wonder if it was a nudist beach. Didn't see no ladder tho however we went right towards Southerndown though.

Kenfig has a really isolated feel. After 29 or so minutes weaving through the tracks through gorse and dunes youre pretty much got the beach to yourself and a few dig walkers.. another 10 mins and your isolated. I went quite a way down beach and stripped went for a swim. The only sign of life was from the dunes. Monknash has more people walking by and closer to the magnificent cliffs

Just a thought take a trip to studland.

Easy access and you won't be on your own.

The beach also used to be patrol.

Also just remember while being nude in public is legal have sex in public or playing is still illegal if caught you could end up on the sex offenders register.

Also naturists may also raise objections as they are there for the freedom, sun & sea etc and don't want there spaces tarred with dodgy going ons.

Once you reach the beach from the nature reserve, walk towards the steel works. Once you see the shipwreck timber "skeleton" on the beach you are around the correct area. There are little "shelters" made of timber between the dunes and the beach.
