Pembroke

Local knowledge please from Pembrokeshire.

I’m supposed to be coming back to Pembroke early doors. Is the weather as bad as social media /warnings are making out?

Gwynedd

The alert on the mobile was a bit frightening - don’t remember having a red warning before.

GONE/TIMEOUT (No DMs please)

Bumping again for you.

I'm not a local, mid Wales it is pretty gusty and I'm 10 miles inland.

Main concerns would be Falling trees, flying roof Tiles, local flooding.

Or gusts so strong they could blow you into the wrong lane.

Wish you safe journey xx

Its really picking up out there now. Just went round the block with the dog (she's picky about not toileting in the back garden ) and the wind isn't consistently strong, but the gusts are getting more ferocious and more frequent.

Dog is irritated at such a short walk, but lots of trees and fences were creaking ominously. I think it's about to get a lot worse before it gets better...

Thanks all. It’s very windy up in the midlands, but the warnings make it look like I’m in for a fun drive.

Slow and steady I guess.

Take care driving OP.

My husband is on call this weekend and has been called out, he said some sections of M4 have been closed off with diversions as they are in the very exposed areas.

Both bridges are closed to get into Wales.

Kenfig is all closed on the M4 and Baglan all the way to Llandarcy is closed.

I can’t see them opening until tonight. Even after 11am, the wind drops down to 60-70mph. I can’t see them opening the roads at this speed.
