Liberty Cap

Close enough

Whilst walking this morning I noticed some liberty caps.

I don't touch them myself due to a bad experience many moons ago.

I've never seen them so early so I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this and can give a better explanation as to why so soon.

The obvious assumption would be the extreme rain we've been having but I'm not expert.

Very happy to be educated.

Carmarthenshire

With how damp the weather has been this year, and now with temperatures being just about in the right range, it's nearly the perfect conditions. Likely be a bumper crop if the rain holds off a little more.

Of course, I didn't consider that the temperature has recently dropped a few degrees.

I'm likely to start seeing more now that my "eye is in".

There are a couple of rebound fields around this area and looking at where you are from I'm guessing you are spoiled for choice in such a rural area.
