Nervous

Going to our first social meeting on the 1st of march we are nervous about it got any advice on how to get rid of the nerves

If you’re going together then that’s a great start.

You obvs don’t have to do anything you don’t want too and take it as it comes with no expectations.

Kind of expect the worst and hope for the best is the way I see things like this and fab to be honest.

Don’t build it up, set rules and boundaries even for convo and just enjoy yourselves!!

A good one for me would be a call prior to meeting, get their number and call withheld (I find this a good way of seeing at least how they speak and communicate and a good idea for me at least).

Maybe have a word you’d say if you wanted to leave so wasn’t awkward too….

Try mingle as much as possible.. approach folk and chat, really no need for nerves, as everyone we chatted with there were all very nice .
