Abusing others (mostly women) in DM

There's not a day that goes by that I don't see a handful of status updates of women being abused in DM by men. I say men.. I mean idiots who don't get the reply they felt they were entitled to or are ignored/rejected.

I'm saying women but I'm positive it's not just thr ladies.

It's gut wrenching but goes to show more needs to be done to protect people from shocking messages by bullies/cowards roaming this community.

I'm being polite, but it's really starting to wind me up.

What do you do to filter out/bypass these clowns? You might just be helping another member with your experience of dealing with these clowns..

Not all blokes on here are bad on FAB. In fact there are real gentlemen out there. Don't lose faith

This is why I find its better to go to Socials.

It is more personal and people can gauge you better.

But most of these keyboard warriors are the type to put their name down and not show up.

I do agree there should be more filters put in place. No one person should be subject to this or any type of abuse.

I proactively use the block button in response to updates or threads I don't like & the same with those who look at me, that don't suit what my likes are. It tends to work & I don't get a lot of profile traffic anymore & lot less abuse X

We have cut allot of the information off our profile, just blunt and straight to the point now. Still doesn't stop the endless messages but has cut it down a fair bit.

Us though, meet at the Socials only unless someone special popped by. Even if the profile comes across lovely they can be weiod in person so the Social is a great way of loosing them.

I was thinking the exact same thing just now! The moderators should give 1 warning and you’re out and that’s being generous.

Guys if you can’t take a polite no or rejection you shouldn’t be here and need to see a therapist.

Ladies sorry to hear this is happening there is no excuse for it. Maybe someone should start a forum chat and post the abuse so everyone can see and block them on mass. Send them to the naughty stop like the children they are.

The best thing we did was change our filters to refuse men from messaging us (only now possible if they’d previously messaged us prior to the filter change) It means we don’t get the random & tedious messages etc and if we wish to speak to men, we will do so at organised socials or clubs

Definitely the abuse from entitled men responding to rejection is a major problem here, but let’s not lose sight of the slew of abuse handed out by couples and single women also.

I honestly don’t see the point in some people being here as they seem to get a kick out of just being vile to others, I mean…twitter exists, go there if that’s your kink,

I speak from a personal position of course and the aggro has worn me down to the point of leaving the site a few times (sometimes I have left and returned)

But speaking to women and couples I’ve met the problem is hardly confined to my experience.

I honestly think that the site ought to make sure EVERY profile is:

Photo verified

Supporter (even if it’s just to verify for a smaller sum of money)

Subject to restrictions if complaints about their conduct become prevalent

Some real dangers on here ruining the experience for all the genuine people

Perfectly put. Some of the worst messages I've received have been from couples who, although are strangers on the internet, feel they're entitled to me. All because I'm a single woman with couples as an interest.

Of course some men have been awful. But I find the majority are actually quite nice! Because genuine single guys know how hard it is for them here, so they do try. Of course there's a few who don't fit that bill, but generally speaking.

The abuse about my sexuality is the common theme. Persistently being challenged over it.

But I don't give abusive messages the time of day. Without hesitation I just block and delete

I still have a great time here x

Sadly its pritty much down to experience and learning not to take the comments to heart.

Some of the messages we get are shocking, they would not walk up to a random person in a pub & say "fancy a fuck" or "i want to smash your misses".

Lucky its H that deals with this account and Z does not see a lot of the stupid & abusive messages.

See, we have spoken via messages. You was polite and friendly and that's basically all it takes to get a reply.

It's like maybe 1 in 300 that will catch our eye and get a response.

We posted two pics up recently, haven't for a while over 800+ views and half as many or more awful messages. Although we never got many fabs, guessing we were ok to grab some attention to knock one out over but not good enough to like/fab a pic.

I feel your frustrations with that. When I had men as an interest I had just over 5,000 views one day. The volume of messages made me just log out. Now I've taken men off, I don't get a fraction of that. It's much much nicer x
