There's plenty of posts of music that people want to have sex to but what song is it that brings a lump to your throat (not that way!)

Just heard runaway train by soul asylum.

Now, this may cement my position as being somewhat weird…….. but Jim Reeves singing Tige always reduced me to a blubbering mess

Never let me go

(Florence and the machine)

It was the first song I heard after my friend died. An overwhelming shock.

My memories are strongly linked to music, so I've a fair few songs that move me.

I still cannot beleve it but I heard Orvilles song and burst into uncontrollable tears. My daughter looked at me like I had lost my mind and I just sobbed “read the words” and she did and knew exactly where I was coming from.

I lost my mum very suddenly in June 2021 but had since showed no emotion, until I heard that song. Before you all think Im going mad you just read the words and they summed up my state of mind at the time perfectly.

Tonypandy.

One that always brings a tear, but also makes me laugh is the theme tune from 'The sons of Katie Elder'

My gran was a massive John Wayne fan, and fan of all the 'cowboy' movies.

At her funeral, we had played Myfamwy, and ken dodd (another of her loves). As we stood to leave, the theme tune blasted out. Everyone looked shocked, then burst into laughter and smiles, following the family out.

It was such a special moment that summed up her life.
