Hi fabbers, quick question on said subject........am attending social event soon and as a newbie virgin any advice would be greatly received please as some given already, seems to contradict each other. I have common sense and decency but would appreciate further advice to reduce my anxiety levels so can enjoy it for what it is........a social!!

there you go fella, treat it as meeting a new group of people and act as you would in that scenario, don't be a bolshy twat and all should be illuminated for you

i have only been to a couple of socials and aslong as you treat people with respect and communicate as you normally would in a public place you should be fine . it will get easier the more familiar people become of you by attended them regularly

Simple, act as if its a normal pub or club and behave accordingly.

If you chat to a couple, always include both, if its a single female don't be too pushy, and above all remember that however you conduct yourself at a social will define your prospects for a long time in swinging, people talk, and poor manners etc will do your prospects no good at all.

some good advice given here, and i agree, its just like going to a normal bar or club, but the difference is the feeling of the night is electric, of course thereis a little flirting, but as for naughtys that a no no. what happens after tho is your buisness as it did for me last years.x
