Verifications

Let's talk verifications:

I know they primarily are to show that the person on the profile is genuine, but they are used for more than that:

- do you expect to exchange verifications after each meet?

- do you have several verifications from the same person, or couple?

- what do you think when you see someone has lots of verifications?

- do you like to receive verifications as a form of flattery?

- do you not display some verifications, if so for what reasons?

- if you verify someone and they don't verify you, do you feel insulted or doesn't it bother you?

What do you think, peeps?

Hi Op. I think it varies who you are. As a single bloke there’s loads of us so a couple of veris show I’m real and not here to waste anyone’s time. Granted it’s not always the case for all,but it works for me.

For me I like to see what the other person/persons think of that person, its not all about flattery for me ut it is nice to know how they feel and think of me,it's just I like others to know what other people think of me,hopefully giving them a good idea of what I am like.i havnt displayed a few as we have met before is really not a good verification lol, so peeps if we've met played or more please veri me lol xxDDxx

I look at peoples verifications for more of a personal understanding of that person. Saying that, I am a little bit of a veri snob and don't like vulgar veris as it turns me off that person and the person verifying them. I like how Ive been verified and I return them in the same energy

For me, It’s nice to receive a verification from a meeting as it not only reinforces the fact that there was a connection but also informs others that I’m reliable, real and not a time waster.

I would verify a second time and wouldn’t hide any of mine.

It doesn’t matter to me if someone has multiple verifications as long as they play safe

Tonypandy.

I've got all my verifications showing, both play and social.

I've verified a few people twice, once after social meet and again after playing. Don't feel the need to verify each time I meet them.

If someone has loads of verifications, I'll tend to read the most recent few and skip through the rest at random.

The thing about them is that, let's face it, you're not going to see an unflattering veri because if it isn't very complimentary, the recipient won't display it anyway!

So what about the issue of one-sided verification ... Or am I the only person this has happened to lol?

No I had them on a previous profile so now I only return a verification, I never give a veri first.

"No I had them on a previous profile so now I only return a verification, I never give a veri first."

Good strategy! I think it's rather disrespectful but then, "if you can't think of anything nice to say, don't say nothing at all" as was said in a well-known Disney film lol!

Veris are super important to me.

I always read potentials "reviews".

But I also check who reviewed them.

If its evident they'll stick it anywhere and everywhere, I'm out.

Seeing people get veris from socials is nice (not a deal breaker), shows they're properly into the lifestyle, not for just a fuck.

If meets have gone well, we always leave a review and like one back. First meet only needed, not every time jeez lol.

But if a meet hasn't gone well, we won't leave one. Speaks for itself and let's be honest, if we left a bad one, they wouldn't display it anyway.

Same here, tend to use them as a sort of vetting process to see if we fit well to play.

Most of.mine are from clubs and socials so I may look off putting to some due to the amount I've had.

Veris are a great way to find out about someone, and I agree that social veris do count alot for single guys as it shows they make an effort to meet new people

Let's be fair veris are a minefield at times, usually guys commenting that you're a 'bit busy', or people commenting on who you met when etc. I show most of mine, don't mind repeats, don't care if you've got one or loads & enjoy reading them on others profiles. I like to get a sense that we'll enjoy the same kind of things, I'm always cautious of people who hide them X

I hide mine. I don’t need the equivalent of a guest book on display. I’m verified by meeting and am who I say I am

That sounds fair to me!

The only time I'd be weary of that setup is if there was a couple that was last verified a long time ago. There was a "couple" that used to message me a lot, but it was obvious the wife had since moved on from fab

I do read verifications to get an understanding of compatibility and chemistry. I personally don't care if someone has *loads* from playing because at the end of the day it's a swinging site. If I've had a bad encounter I choose to not verify and just leave it

Verifications are extremely subjective

I have met guys in the past whose verifications have bigged him up to be the hottest thing since sliced bread by other women to only be thoroughly disappointed.

Apart from the fact said person exists I would take fuck all from a veri

Years ago I used to post all verifications I received but then found that verifications can be a double edged sword sword. Whilst they confirm that you are everything that you say you are, and not a waste of space, some people have interpreted too many verifications as trying to shag your way through the entire site. So I only verifiy now after meeting someone if they want me to, but I don't ask for one in return. At the end of the day really it's how you connect on the day that determines whether something is or isn't going to happen.

We personally like the verifying process for alot of reasons mentioned above, vetting potential meets, getting some idea of what the person is like along with our own chat and of course it shows if they are active and present within the scene.

We are cautious if no veri's are shown, but also understand some people are more private than others and some may not be on good terms any more with the person who left the Veri, think that has alot to do with experience on the site and up to the individuals.

We are always happy to leave a verification after a social or a meet as long as it has gone well, a return Veri is not a legal requirement but we see it as more an unspoken common courtesy on both sides, we always offer one and ask if they would want one in return.

We tend not to give more than 2 social/play and don't post all of ours if they are from the same people, again stick to rule of 2.

Suppose everyone see's this element of fab in a different light

I tend to mainly just post veris from social meets. Although I like to receive a veri after a play meet I tend to keep them for myself to reminisce and enjoy
