As a single, non-member, bi male. Do you think it's worth driving +1h on the Friday or Saturday to try my luck getting in?

Friday night is Chameleons from 8pm and you'd need membership to get in. Try phoning first.

Saturday is back to being the Greenhouse, no membership required, pay on the door and it's bi night.

It sounds like Saturday would be your better option.
