Anyone else think fab should charge more?

I’m thinking if they charged more straight away would stop all these time wasters. So many in here now.

Nothing to do with the fee. You need more things in place to make it difficult for them.

It’s a totally wild suggestion and I already know it’ll never happen but…

If people were to start behaving respectfully, reading profiles, not being pushy and I’m general not being arseholes the place would improve dramatically!!

But hey like I said it’ll never happen

It's mostly the one with multiple accounts non paying members we block one then he messaged us again with a different account

Ye but what? As there are far too many on here who have zero intention of meeting or chatting.

Window shopping but not buying.

I reported the other week someone asking for money they still were on here.

Simple solution would be no access to pics or mail/messenger/chat without a paid up account for membership. That would stop a lot of fake accounts & timewasters being on here.

13 years and never had a no-show...but then, we are very thorough about our vetting process.

If you are getting let down time after time, maybe it's time to look at your selection process?

I think there many fake accounts and an easy way to spot some are those without profile pics and no recent veri.

They will update a meet, and ignore messages and maybe agree to meet and never show up.

Time wasters are increasing by the day and I think something should be done about it.

They spoil the chances of meeting with genuine people.

Take a step back and check your due diligence process.

Most "woman" accounts that have men behind them scream fake in the way they message.

If you can't verify that they're genuine within a few messages, move on.

Or certainly don't agree to a meet without knowing who you are talking to.

I guess I'm really lucky.

I've had fakes string me along, I've humoured them out of boredom and i can't work out what they get from it.

Absolutely. Ideally photo verification should be mandatory. Even use the same method as other dating apps where you have to strike a stupid pose. Too many fakes on here... wish the site got updated to incorporate more security measures. Fingers crossed one day.

There are things that can be put in place...

Tie the IP to the username (I know, most IPs are dynamic)

Tie the email address to the username (emails are easy to recycle but one step in the right direction)

For Silver and Gold Members use 2 factor with the phone number. (Then block all non members like I have).

In isolation these don't work but all three would put steps in to ensure once someone is banned they need a new IP, a new email and a new phone to re-register. But this would come at additional cost (2FA for instance).

I work in Cyber Security so this is kinda my forte. Would be great if Fab thought more about how to protect us users from the fuckwits.

Make it compulsory to be a Gold or Silver member with a minimum 3 mouths fee in order to message people. People can join, look about, but anything more they need to pay.
