Rejection and self doubt

What's the best way to get over being rejected?

If your chatting to someone and it gets to the stage of planning a coffee meet than all of a sudden you get blocked without a reason how can you stop the self doubt creeping in?

I think if it's fab related it's them not you if that makes sense. Try not to beat yourself up over it

This site at times can be awful for self esteem. Whilst most of my rejections have been polite, some have been downright rude and nasty. Take it with a pinch of salt and try to think it more as a bullet dodged than a rejection when it is abuse

100%, things happened for a reason OP. Try not to overthink it and move on, as some people are not worth taking space in your mind.

I'd put it down as a lucky escape & move on without a backwards glance or 2nd thought. You're here for you & if that happens it's because THEY charged their mind for any number of unknown reasons that you're never going to know. Plus you've never met, so how can they have any great significance in your mind?

It's a shame when people do that had it many times met for coffee sometimes more and they just ghost, I get those self doubt thoughts then just think "oh well their loss" but it's horrible that people do it

It's horrible but remember that people are all on here for their own reasons. If you have shown up as authentically you and they don't like that, it wouldn't have worked anyway. x

The ghosting or bread crumbing after meeting is the worst, usually because guys are too much of a wimp to be honest & say thanks but no thanks. Try not to give them head space X

Yes its not hard to just say you are not interested but it's the good talk and meet then just nothing but hey one chance is my limit. Thank you I try not to let them in my head space x

I met someone at the Swansea social. I REALLY liked him. We kissed, for a while. Exchanged messages and he went quiet, thing went un read. I’m usually conditioned to rejection but that one still sits with me. You will move on OP but just take it as a lesson x

It's a very fickle place in here, and we all have to admit, that we have fluctuating moods.

Add to that the sexual element, and suddenly people can be engaging and excited, followed by simply not wanting any contact quickly due to moods and outside influences?

I don't care what anyone says, it does knock you a little,but let's face it, they're relative strangers who will mean very little to you in a day or two?
