I think a lot of blokes on here think if someone doesn't want to meet them or talk to them then that makes them a timewaster

I’ve had the misfortune of interacting with fantasists in the past (guys pretending to be a couple), but I’ve got pretty good at spotting them early.

There’s always going to be a few like that, you just need to be able to recognise them for what they are

Same here, women are inundated with messages and it’s probably really hard for them to get a good feel for someone when they are chatting to loads of men, hence them dying out.

It's a fact of life that anything like swinging will attract a lot of wasters over various types. Over time we have developed a sixth sense. If someone sounds to good to true then they probably aren't. We like to move our chats to WhatsApp once we are genuinely interested. Most fakes if a couple have to give 2 numbers to set up of four way chat group. That soon s out the fakes. If genuine people don't want to WhatsApp that's entirely up to them. We never had an issue once we get to WhatsApp xx

This is along the same lines as what I’ve been doing.

I won’t meet a “couple” for anything more than a social if I’ve not spoken to both of them on the phone or video call. The only exception to this would be people who are well verified, or I will meet for a social if I’ve only spoken via here but it would be a neutral location.

The couple's you talk to seem to get on with them talk about arranging a meet and agreeing to it, then making excuses why they can't meet .

I paid for a hotel room as I was 100% sure they would turn up. Get a message at 7 that evening saying they can't make it and blocked

We tend to cancel some meets, at times, due to health reasons which we always fully explain up front.

If we can't make it, we give as good notice as possible.

We have been stood up a few times, no big deal, perhaps we understand how it can be.

But it's annoying when you spend time money and effort on meets which don't happen because somebody just played you or chickened out.
