Merthyr Tydfil

Village hotel north Cardiff is reasonable and nice has pool area and only 5 miles or so taxi ride to Cardiff city centre

Marriott, Hilton, st David’s in centre but much pricier and charge for parking

Same in Swansea Village hotel about 1.5 Miles from busy Wind Street Swansea.

It's more like a 20 minute ride into the city centre, at least!
