Day meets in Cardiff Hotels

Cardiff

Hello all

Planning a day meet for us and a familiar bull. We have previously used Village Hotel for meets, but it doesn’t appear to be available on days we want.

We liked Village Hotel as we could meet the other couple/single male just by giving a room number and they could come straight through.

Has anyone used any of these hotels, or would we have to go down to reception and let them through each door like at a Premier Inn.

Parking for the regular Bull would be good also.

Mercure Cardiff Holland House & Spa

Cardiff Marriott Hotel

Clayton Hotel Cardiff

Novotel Cardiff City Centre

Near Cowbridge

I've used the Novotel and you can just walk up to the rooms. Parking is available there or close by too.

Not to openly contradict you (intention vs fact, because we all know I may have done) but we have used that hotel before under different circumstances and it was easily accessible for this scenario. Everything about the website (as I type) suggests it is still viable.

All non-paying guests have to do is enter reception to put their license plate in the parking nonsense to avoid the fine. If you know what room you need to go to, and can read basic signs, you are good to go .

It sure is open and works a treat and no one really pays any attention when you go to enter your car registration

Thanks all.

Babysitter is booked for the day. Hoping to book one of the hotels above through dayuse.

Does anyone know if village still does day use. They don’t seem to be on the dayuse app anymore.

It's peak holiday season so they likely have no trouble selling rooms at the full overnight price. I struggled getting a room last week on the day use site.

You could try your luck speaking directly to the Village and see if they have any available.
