Hotel has cancelled our booking with no reason. Does anyone know whats going on? Seems a lot of peeved off people on fab today

Same with us! I phoned a few times yesterday and no answer!

Looked for a few dates and booking.com says “not available”.

I wonder if it’s closed down!

Ibis is available now and the Silurian had 1 or 2 rooms yesterday.

Ive messaged their facebook page but no reply.

They've cancelled on us too for August social but I'd also booked it for October and December socials and they've not cancelled those bookings.....yet!

We spoke to the owner of the Waterloo and the queens is closed as they had an offer from the council to home Ukrainian refugees.

If you use Accor all from the App Store it’s linked to Ibis and mecure and you will get 10% off, most rooms you can book and pay on the day. Ibis budget is around the £39 range. Hope information helps

My Ice Castle! South Wales

The Queens Hotel is being used to house Ukrainian's at present. I'm assuming when they find them other accommodation they move them on and a room becomes available, if not they cancel your room.

I checked when I called up as booked 4 rooms by mistake got a little trigger happy on the website. They confirmed that to get the discount we have to show the blue light card when we go in.

I've booked the mercure this morning just incase but would prefer the queen's as its closer ( and cheaper). The problem is, when I've looked to book the queen's for any date this year its not available so I'm thinking it's going to be cancelled again.

We booked our room for all of this years socials in the queens. They have cancelled them all. We won’t book with them just incase how.

You can probably book the Silurian or the Mercure as a pay on day hotel. Or just book the Travel Lodge. Next to the Queens and probably just as nice

Also random I know but the Newport Student housing sometimes has rooms. It’s in between Chams and town so convenient. There aren’t many students there these days and it’s not like you’ll get kicked cos most of the apartments will probably be seeing some action on the weekends

I've phoned the queen's today. They have cancelled all bookings for this year. If you booked through bookings .com they were informed of this months ago.

However, they haven't cancelled either of my bookings yet so thought I'd let you know in case any of you are in the same situation so you can book something else.
