South Wales Camping Social & Chill

Date: Friday 2nd September 2022 - 4th September.

Location: Llanelli (ish)

Myself and a few friends are arranging a camping social at a private campsite.

I’ve run these before and they’ve always been great fun.

We’ll have exclusive use of the campsite.

Very relaxed there.

There are basic amenities.

Camping field (tent). Be warned it’s on a gentle slope, fits 40 tents.

There are limited pitches available for campervans/motorhomes & caravans.

Limited electricity pitches available.

Glamping pods available (sleeps 4, all have electric) 6 available, just bring your own bedding.

Friday night welcome fire pit and BBQ.

Saturday will be a chilled morning.

Saturday afternoon - Pre drinks and field party games.

Saturday evening - DJ, karaoke & BBQ - followed by chilling around the firepit.

*This is a very basic camping event.

*To have a laugh and enjoy you’ll have to make yourself part of chats and the fun.

*This is a social event for those who enjoy camping.

*Absolutely no playing in public areas!!!!!! Anybody caught doing so will be told to leave.

*Verified only. No exceptions!

*Private messages asking for exceptions will be ignored.

BBQ food will be included in the price.

First come first served! Reserve list will open once all places are filled.

Holding deposit required to assure the site is fully booked for the owner who’s been nice enough to let us have exclusive use of camping areas.

We’ll start taking deposits when we confirm price.

Looking at around £20 per person for camping to cover cost.

Glamping pods are more.

I will confirm price when I have worked a bit more out with the owner and the cost of food, entertainment etc.

To provisionally book a space.

Message me with the subject ‘Camping’ and I will start to put a list together and I’ll update prices or additional information on this thread as this progresses.

Arranging this with the help of friends, it’s a social event, we can’t spend all day answering questions so please be patient.

Location will not be given out public.

All above on the provisional list.

Great start!

I have just had a long conversation with the owner of the site.

It’s actually 60 tents we can fit on the grass. But bear In mind it is slightly sloped in areas.

10 campers or motorhome type vehicles on a private hard standing.

14 on the outer field.

We have use of a very large barn for a disco and karaoke. This will close down at a respectable time.

But you’re free to continue chatting etc there after.

Just bring your own camping chairs and drinks and enjoy.

Pods are almost gone but people have suggested they’re willing to share a pod.

This is something you’ll have to sort out amongst yourselves.

I won’t be part of who’s sharing with who.

Make your own informed choice.

Lastly I will stress this once and once only. Do not ask me the location. For everybody’s safety, discretion etc… nobody will be told the exact location until the evening prior.

It’s not far from Llanelli. That’s all I’m going to say.

Don’t waste your time asking or messaging me because I will not respond.

With group discount Glamping pods are £60 per night, minimum of 2 nights. But so far they are reserved.

Due to demand and the owner wanting booking confirmation I will start taking payment for the pods and deposits for camping tonight when I get home so we both know where we’re at with this as it’s peak season still and we definitely need exclusive use.

As long as the pods are all booked and 20 camping or van pitches he’s happy with exclusive use.

We’ll definitely smash that today. It’s looking to be a super turn out!

This evening I will be sending out payment details for deposits to pass on to the site owner.

The only way to secure a place is by paying a deposit (camping, vans, caravans)

I have a minimum number of pitches to fill but it’s looking like that’s no issue. Absolutely amazing response! Thank you guys.

Pods have to be paid in full to secure.

It’s at that point we have exclusive use of the site once all are booked and paid for.

There is a reserve list on the pods, should somebody pull out, the next person on the list will be contacted and if they want it it’s to be paid for so the person unable to come gets a refund.

That’s the only way this can be worked. I don’t want to make this stressful to the site owner dealing with no shows, payments etc. and I also don’t want to be chasing people for payments or missing people or whatever.

So to secure a place please message me for payment details for your deposit

So from here in this is what’s available

Hard standing pitches (private away from the main field) great for those wanting quiet time in the day.

Space for a few more vans or caravans on the main field.

Plenty of tent camping pitches.

Me and my helpers have also decided to make the main evening a theme - BARN DANCE!

Not compulsory you dress up.

Think cowboy hat for those wanting to dress up.

For those camping in caravans, vans or tents.

To make this easy for everybody I’ve also factored in all costs into the price.

Pitch price (occupancy dependant)

Cost of running generators when needed.

Food, 2x BBQ, 2x breakfasts.

Entertainment cost.

Decorations

Bin bags, etc etc.

Likely will be extra costs but I’ll cover them - it’s cool.

All this comes in at £42 per couple for 2 nights

£26 per single person.

Bargain!

So far all the pods are reserved as well as all the electric hook up pitches.

Non-electric pitches only now sorry.

Little bit of confusion with costs so I’ll stress them here rather than reply to a lot of messages.

Toilets and showers are on site, additional toilets will also be provided around the field due to the volume of guests and save people a walk to existing toilets.

*Pods are £60 per night, min of 2 nights. Sleeps 4 (RESERVED, reserve list only)

*Couple cost on a camping pitch is £42 for 2 nights.

*Single camper on a camping pitch is £26 for 2 nights.

Camping pitches are suitable for Tents, Caravans, campervans, motorhomes or other removable structure that you’ll sleep in.

No place is confirmed until payment is received.

Pods have to be paid for asap because I have a list as long as my arm for them and I’m not willing to hold them on a maybe. And the site owner wants assurance they’re all booked so we can have exclusive use of the site as it’s the end of peak season.

People have asked if they can come for the day or night. As it stands I am unsure about this because it’s already a lot to deal with and the cost for this event has been calculated to include food and entertainment and it would be unfair to let others in to enjoy what people have paid for. Added to that, as much as it’s a social event only - I would like to keep details private on location, not give details out to anybody that’s wanting to just come along or just want to know where it is.

Guests safety, discretion, enjoyment and payments is on my shoulders and I would appreciate others respect that.

I don’t have a massive team behind me like the big camping events.

This is a cost price, non profit social weekend for others to come and enjoy time with likeminded people.

Anybody wanting to secure their camping pitch now send me a message and I will forward payment details. Once it’s fully booked that’s it. Half of the camping pitches are already reserved pending payment

Bank transfer only so payments can be forwarded to site owner.

Those that want to come but are clueless or newbies to camping, Just send me a message and I’ll do my very best to have help on hand setting your tent up for you.

If anybody would like to volunteer to help those that need a hand setting up, I would really appreciate it if you come forward.

Payment in the form of beer, wine or spirits available for your help.

Morning campers!

Thank you again for the amazing response to this social event.

Totally overwhelmed by the offers of help as well as the general demand to join us.

Hard to keep up with messages but I’m trying my best.

Those that want a payment link to make payment just send me a message.

All electric pitches are provisionally booked pending confirmed payments.

All pods are booked

Plenty of camping/van pitches left.

If you want to come and confirm your place. The only way to do it is make payment.

I cannot give special treatment and wait for people to confirm, it’s already a lot of work to arrange this. The sooner it’s all booked the sooner I can get onto arranging the main night and disco, additional facilities etc. I’m truly trying to make this the best that I can.

Hey guys.

So a few of us spent the weekend planning lots for this event.

As well as being a relaxed weekend we’ve come up with a lot of fun activities people can choose to take part in. But we’re doing the activities and things in aid of a charity that’s very close to us that are helping with the weekend, one person more so.

So we do ask that you bring some change for the charity bucket.

We’ll have all sorts! Cake stall, tuck shop, raffle and so many fun games during the day and evening.

You don’t have to donate to enter the games but collection buckets will be around.

Also if anybody wants to donate a prize of anything at all please send us a message.

I won’t be putting the charity name public but feel free to message me and I’ll happily send cause details.

We’ve made it that everybody has the best of both worlds so you can either make it a relaxed weekend with likeminded people or action packed and lots of fun.

There are also a load of fun mini charity events and games which confirmed guests will receive a full breakdown of in the coming few days too.

Not all the games and events/activities are paid for events but some we will be raising money for a charity that will be disclosed to confirmed guests.

Like with any event. Expect a wait for showers as they are limited. But rest assured I’ve worked out a system that allows for everybody to shower daily without it feeling like a free for all with lines of people.

I’ve never been to an orgy before. What should I expect?

Is there fancy dress?

There is a theme for the Saturday and that’s a barn dance. Think western and that works.

Don’t be scared to attend if you don’t know anybody attending. This is a great way to get to know people in the lifestyle.

Whilst I appreciate everybody has different view on covid. We do expect that people only attend if they feel well enough.

If you have any covid symptoms we ask that you test prior to attending.

If you start to feel unwell during the event I will do my best to have covid tests available and until you’ve done a test you’ll be expected to isolate until we can check if it’s covid.

I will be sending everybody a message this evening with an update on progress of the event and planned activities.

We’ve made it that everybody has the best of both worlds so you can either make it a relaxed weekend with likeminded people or action packed and lots of fun.

There are also a load of fun mini charity events and games which confirmed guests will receive a full breakdown of in the coming few days too.

Not all the games and events/activities are paid for events but some we will be raising money for a charity that will be disclosed to confirmed guests.

But start saving your change for a great cause and join in all the fun. I promise you’ll have fun taking part or as a spectator

Guests who are new to camping or not to great putting tents up.

I have 4 people who’ve offered to help put tents up, just send me a message and I’ll sort that for you for when you arrive.

Can we share a tent with other people?

Yes you can. You arrange this yourself. There will still be a charge per person to cover costs of the event.
