Etiquette of no reply

This is what I do. I don’t think it’s pushy, but maybe wrong.

If I send a message & it’s been read I’ll wait a couple of days & ask “I don’t know if you missed my message or shall I move along “

I’ve had replies that have stated they’ve missed the message & we’ve met & I’ve had the “yes please I thinks it’s best” which I’ve always respected.

What’s peoples thoughts on getting a “shall I move along” message?

Occasionally one of us will read a message but won't reply, intending to reply later. We normally mark it 'unread' but sometimes don't.

A polite follow up message like that is OK and pretty harmless, in our opinion. You'll either get a 'no thanks', ignored again, blocked or a positive message.

I don’t see an issue in a follow up message, as long as it’s polite. Getting shitty for a non response is so childish, makes me think how some people on here can be considered adults.

If they have read and not sent a response, it’s more often than not a no! Just accept it and move on.

Women get so many messages on here that they can afford to be really picky.

Imagine yourself walking into a bar and 9/10 of the women there wanted you…..that’s the situation you’re in unfortunately so you’ve got to stand out!

The only time I don't reply is if they haven't read my full profile. I've very limited free time and stipulate early afternoon only midweek if very local.

I get messages from people over 10 miles+ away wanting evening weekend, over night meets. I look at their profile and if they are too far, married or no public photos I wont reply. It says so in my bio

I agree with this too. There's no need to get arsey with anyone should they choose not to reply. Just move on and spend your time on people who do choose to reply.

I normally only message once, some probably haven't been seen or read and meant to reply later but didn't. I do wonder if I've missed potential meets but I'm sure they will approach me if want to anyway

I read all my messages and if you're not for me, I mark as unread until I do a delete session. Repeated messages when I haven't replied earn the profile a block.

I call BS. You get replies?

Seriously though, your approach seems to be working out for you so there is no need to worry about what anyone else thinks. That's the beauty of places like this, everyone is free to find what works best for them. And if you find someone who is on the same wavelength, even if it is just messages, then good for you .

One in particular where we potentially might have met. I didn't reply for a few days and got called all sorts.

This is the issue with people thinking they’re entitled to a reply.

Fail to reply you’re in the wrong.

Reply with a ‘no thanks’ then await abuse.

Can’t win.

This is why I generally just block those I’m not interested in.

Might take us days to reply to a new message. We've only got limited time, sometimes a message will come through and the receiver may be interested but currenty busy with other members. We just leave the message there and move on. If anything comes back its a bonus.

We dont reply if someone doesnt read our profile, otherwise we try and reply to everyone! Even if its a polite not for us.

I tend to message, and either just delete the sent message or I'll check whenever I get round to it and if they deleted the message I block on my end.

No stress, no hassle (but a big block list )

If we had ignored the first one we would ignore the second one.

The clarification of what no reply means is there for us all to see in the FAQS.
