I'm sure many of us have memories

That no doubt shaped us in years to come

Mine. Was in all boys school opportunity came up to go to llangranog...

Recall there was a rugby game..partook..did well...couldn't understand afterwards why the lads from cardiff wanted to talk to a wxm lad. .only years later realised realised playing wise they were chatting to some one they saw on there own level

Oh If I had more confidence

Also re girls

There was one lass from west wales somewhere all the lads fancied her

Even at 13 drop dead gorgeous

Realised had no chance but her mate was blonde so was trying my hardest but she was hard work

Anyway penultimate day hit beach for swim..can recall drying off when drop gorgeous appears in front if me had forgotton towel..

Could she borrow mine

Ok

Would I walk back to camp with her

Ok

God how slow where we at 13..

Chatted

Only later realised it was me out of all the lads from around wales she fancied

Ahh camp yr Urdd Llangrannog

Many great memories going there as a youngster

And im sure many on here do,

Im lucky to live not far from it, and the place has changed a lot over the years,

Its also now a holiday let in summer months for families,

Hope the children of today take the chance to enjoy some time there and make memories

Early 70s wooden shacks at top for girls

Bottom of field were bell tents for boys...

To be honest seem to recall speaking saesneg most of the time...

Though our tent got raided first night being told to pack up our behaviour terrible etc etc

One mate showed his colours broke into tears ...me ma will kill me..the shame...

It was a staff prank wind up
