as it says really are we??

went to a house party last night there was a few couples and all seamed to get on great but then you remember that when you first seen them on the site you kind of passed them buy as may be not your type for 1 reason or the other but then you meet up with them in a unplanned kind of house party and they are nothing like you origianlly thought

I know that it can work the other way by people thinking they have a perfect match then they turnout to be complete cycle paths and not for you

so for those out there who we thought they werent for us we could have been soo soo wrong

so we are on the lines of thinking we are all normal people with a great hobby and arent all models (and trust me we aint) but nice people on the inside and dnt need to be pushed to one side

any one else had similar

Yea it has happened to me and then when you have met think how wrong was I? And there quite the opposite from what you expected! And on the other hand I've also saw there pic and met and there not that person at all which is frustrating!

Hope u talking about us in ur post haha but seriously we do agree,we make an image then when you meet the image is totally wrong,

Ps you are much nicer in person hehe great to meet you and the others,all nice people x

It's so difficult .We tend to think social meetings help sometimes. We know that people often think we are " too old" and then when they meet us at a party etc, have a very different view.

Think we are " very old" lol x

we have this problem were ppl think were just a couple of old benders and to scared to talk to us in case other ppl think there bent or there is something wrong with us...my answer is either talk to the ppl you judged with out meeting them first or dont that way you know if you like them or not[if this makes sense]...

Its even harder for us playing the 'single guy' card ..

We can't get invited to the parties most of the time - but when there after a random lucky invite (he says from own experiences) we get chatting and stuff and then people find out that your a lot nicer than the typed profile or the stereotypical small minded single guy ...

Its always better to read a book than to judge it by its cover - thats why I try and sort out social / drink meets before play dates ...

or is that just me ? lol

A social drink is a great starting point .... I get nervous if I am expected to play on a first meet, I have no idea why, unless its in a club, I am a bag of nerves, stupid ...
