"Genuinely don’t see the attraction of a soggy biscuit…" Ah but a good dunker doesn't get "soggy" per se, it holds its shape and texture but takes on the flavour of the tea. For instance a rich tea does indeed become soggy and is pointless as a dunker in my opinion (mr)

"We have been having a discussion on what is the best biscuit for dunking in tea... Know chocolate hobknobs are out favourite biscuit but we are debating whether its the nicest dunker. We had been introduced to Tim Tams by an Australian friend but do they count as biscuits? We have been thinking long and hard on this and would appreciate some external input... " The Hob Nob retains structural integrity while absorbing a certain amount of the liquid. It's like they invented a biscuit for dunkers.
