Why do people need a reality check for blocking you? They've done you a favour by preventing you wasting any more of your time on someone who isn't interested in you. It's a useful tool. People shouldn't take it so personally

Its good to understand consent and your personal domains. Blocking is a function of someone protecting their domain.

My, thoughts, feelings, actions, my time and my body are all part of my domain, how i use them is my responsibility. If people want to enter in my domain, I choose if they can partake and get to know any parts of my domain. Projecting onto another Persons domain doesn't fall under consent. You're not responsible for anothers feelings, and they aren't responsible for yours.

Blocking someone is thus a tool for managing consent.

Not necessarily a reflection on the rejection of you, which may hurt, but them honouring themselves. Which as a grounded guy. I love that a woman can say No, and have it accepted without drama or projection.

Mate I've got friends on here that literally have the number 1300+ on their messages. It's just impossible to reply. Don't let it get to you, I rarely bother messaging anyone anymore as it's pointless. Meet and chat to people in socials, you'll do much better

Typing a polite no thank you 50 or 60 times a day then dealing with the " can I ask why ? " or abusive messages tends to drain you after a while , it's well documented on site rules that no reply means no but thanks , don't take it as a personal insult

We have had many messages from guys asking to meet up ect we reply a polite no thanks then a day or 2 later same account same message gets sent again so yes we can see why some people choose to block others

Both types typically end up in a 'no thanks', just one gets there sooner so it's best to shut things down with a block.

Good thanks. How's your day going?

Not bad, yours?

Not bad. Would you like to meet?

No thanks.

Repeat for the other 50 'how are you' messages or just block?

When you click a profile that's blocked you the message comes up. Up the top is the standard tool bar with message,wink, hotlist and menu. Click menu and the block button is still there. Just block as normal.

I got blocked by a female for not having a profile picture knowing there’s some in my friends request and this particular female didn’t have any pictures at all I do believe many on here are genuine and some is confidence building and a small minority are time wasters

It's not worth replying. You get a torrent of abuse back, it's not fair to assume everyone is the same, but it's necessary Unfortunately.

We tend to block anyone we aren't interested in it saves them and us wasting our time messaging again.

The small handful of people ruin it for the majority.

You're a single fella. Most couples / women will approach you if they are interested - rather than the other way around.

If all you have is "Hi how are you" that is really a poor effort.

Basically - suck it up - not everyone wants to be your friend (just like in life).

How many times have you hit on single women or couples with the "Hi - how are you / how is your day" etc I bet it's thousands in the hope that someone responds.

Still like you said - you dont need meet advice. Good luck in your endless search.

I think you are the one who needs the reality check, FFS, this is an ADULT site, so pick your toys up and put them back in the pram. You are a tiny fish in a massive pond! I am sooo glad I no longer have a single male profile with which to reply to this thread. My response would be so much more caustic than what this one is. But seeing as everything I do or say involves someone else now, I will say this....

So many of the previous posts are accurate. The OP vented frustration and that can be understandable - to a point. Venting that frustration on a forum which is frequented by some of the most active Wales swingers is definitely not understandable. All it does is scream 'Me Me Me Me Me! I am better than all those others! ". Which let's be fair, if that were true, you would not be venting frustration because you would be, errr, inundudated.

You had a bad day OP, and that's understandable. I have had many. Very many. And worse than you. And that's why I am no longer willing to be on the site as a 'single male' even though I could probably be pigeonholed as one. Posting this thread was a bad move. I know because I have done similar things. Many, many times.

The reason I can speak at all with any dignity? I got out there. I met people at socials, I went to clubs and attended any parties I was lucky to be invited to. People who knew me could tell when I was having a bad day on here. And they politely told me to fuck off, or spoke to me a few days later when they could tell I was over it. I now call them friends. And they likewise about me.

I hope you have some Fab people who know you OP as a friend, because this thread helped you about as much as some of mine helped me in the past. And I don't have the gall to bother registering again as a single male, because I have fucked up too much.

As the Lord most eloquently puts it this site can be immensely frustrating as a single male, but I equally understand that being bombarded with unwanted messages can be equally frustrating, though I will never experience the latter

I totally get the use of a block is far easier than a couple of lines of explaining.

I try to only message those who seem to be a match and always try to write a few lines after reading and understanding a profile, so those that end in a block do hurt a little.

Life's too short to be angry so I just swallow my pride and try again. Though I only have one meet so far from Fab I have managed a few good chats so enough positives to keep me going.

These threads also help in understanding its nothing personal and no offence meant.

That's the way it is, you can't please everybody. I see it though as a bit like playing a bandit in a social club. Keep playing long enough, you'll eventually get a result.

Why though? A woman/couple may bulk delete just because her inbox is full, they may have added you to their hotlist, they could have their profile hidden when viewing your profile, now you've lost all chance of them replying by blocking them, I've messaged hundreds and not many reply at all, 95% won't reply straight away, most delete messages but I don't block them, I may not be their type, many don't like I'm bald and have a beard but I don't take it personal, its their preference , some list this in their bio to save me from messaging, dont get me wrong I used to get frustrated seeing I've been blocked but I see now that they are just saving themselves from the possibility of abuse because they've had it before, they don't know that you are different from the select few knobheads that frequent this site who's only goal in life is to offend as many as possible because they think they've got something everyone needs to see, even if they've deleted your message it doesn't mean you won't get to meet them, you will look stupid if you meet them at a social and give them your fab details only for them not to be able to contact you because you have them blocked.

We are all adults, lets behave like adults.

I use the block button if there's something they mention in their profile that I'm unable/unwilling to change.

I see 'no BBC' on a decent amount of profiles (bbc 2 jokes incoming

) or nobody over x age/under x height. It's no stress I just block and move on.

It just saves me a little time and lets me really put some thought into my fancy a fuck messages

My view is if my message gets deleted then no issues or if they block me that's that persons choice and perogative.

Just be polite and carry on if someone is interested then they will reply back to you, I tend to say a polite not thanks, i had a guy messaging me asking questions on how the site works i gave advice and polite replies he then asked me to meet I said read my profile im not interested he got abusive so I blocked unfortunately thats how life is, nobody needs a reality check

You can’t win them all. Its all good to be polite in messages but you cannot always expect a favourable response. Just take it on the chin and move on. No one owes you anything just for having manners and the same can be said for you too. You don’t owe anyone anything either.

Just because someone states on their profile that the only respond to polite messages doesn’t automatically guarantee you’re gonna get a reply. Women get hundreds of messages a day on here.

My outbox is constantly full of unread messages but it really doesn’t bother me too much. If someone likes the look of me I’ll let them get in touch. If we click, great. If not, I generally wish them well and that’s that.

Manners cost nothing, but they don’t pay for anything either
