Hi all, as you know we were looking at arranging a welsh masquerade ball. After what happened to Jo and Steve, the organisers for the Scottish ball, we have had a discussion and sadly decided we now won't be organising this one. Jo and Steve have been fantastic in giving us advise and support when we were looking to do this.

For those of you that don't know what happened the details are on the Scottish forum, but to cut a long story short, someone who actually paid to go to the ball sent a malicious email to the venue and made it clear who and what the event was for.

This has now put us right off organising this event and our hearts go out to Jo and Steve, as well as all those that had paid for outfits, hotels and travel. An alternative night has been arranged and we are sure they will still have a fab night, but no doubt a lot of money has been lost for all.

Sorry to all those that were interested, and if anyone else is willing to arrange this we are happy to help and advise and let them know what we had planned.

Gutted for you, we know how much dedication and hard work it is to arrange an event on this scale and we thought you were amazing to take up the torch and run with it. We also know how 1 tosser can bring months of hard work and dedicated effort crashing down around your ears. Thank you for what you did and should we decide to take on the challenge then we will be in touch.

Thanks both, we didn't really do a lot as yet, nowhere near the scale of what Jo and Steve did but due to what happened we are not comfy with continuing...if you do decide to take it on then please let us know, we will be happy to help and advise what we had...

Can't believe someone would be that low and callous... do they know who had sent the e-mail....

It was a great idea, but completely understandable as to why you guys are now reluctant.

There is always someone out there to spoil others fun isn't there

Think they have an idea who sent it but unfortunatly can't name and shame, just report them to admin

I do think some people deserve to be named and shamed though, but I guess that is the rule here....

We have some ideas for you regarding how to keep the venue safe…. if you want to get in touch again feel free.

So maybe dont give up just yet.

I can understand fully why you have made the decision....

Still cant believe that someone did what they did....all that hard work down the pan....

but....the end of the day whats happened has happened now.....
