If someone lied to you would you forgive them and trust them again?

I’m a pretty forgiving person. If it wasn’t life threatening I’m sure I would forgive.

Would all depend on the context. Generally no, especially if the context is the sort of thing that would compel me to put a post up on a swinging forum about it.

"Oh _ancardiff7, you're such a stud, the best ever" is definitely a lie I can live with

I guess I'm saying context matters.

Toby, does my bum make this dress look big? No sweetheart.

Toby, did you shag my mam? No mate!

It's all about context.

If they asked me to, probably.

It's people that lie about unimportant things that I find hard to trust.

It depends on the lie and my relationship to the person. If it's a work colleague or casual acquaintance then I'll just assume everything they tell me is a lie and I'll act accordingly. If it's a friend then I might start to distance myself from them in future.

We've cut close friends out of our lives for spreading lies about us or lying to us.

I might forgive them but they would never have the same place in my heart or my life.

We all lie from time to time and for all sorts of reasons not all of which are bad.
