It's very friendly on a Saturday for a straight male but you must be polite when another male makes advances towards you.

Friday is the other option for you as long as your willing to pay the exorbitant membership fee.

I heard about it when i was sat chatting with friends in the bar and thought I'd ask behind the bar if it really happened seeing as the Jacuzzi area hadn't actually been closed off..

I was told that they'd tested the water and it was fine.. if it had happened that it would have gone through the filters and as such been filtered out.

Which doesn't really answer the question or provide any reassurance either..

I popped over just after it happened and saw the bar staff scooping it down into the drains at the side, however being pool plant qualified I know that even if it had gone down the drain and through the filters that it shouldn't have been open for at least 24 hours so if that's how lax they are with the hot tub then I doubt I'll be going in again

I must admit i was a little taken aback by the "we don't know" response and the idea that if it's gone through the filter then it's ok.

Would i be right in thinking that really it's supposed to be emptied,scrubbed with disinfectants and have filters changed/disinfected too before being refilled??

And is that a legal requirement if it's been fouled?? Especially if you actually know it has..

Must admit I was very surprised when i saw it open and people in there minutes before i asked at the bar about the situation

Not drained no but the system requires a minimum of 6 turnovers (usually 24 hours), which basically means how many times the water goes through filtration.

Filters don't (or shouldn't) need to be changed as protocol is usually to pump the chlorine stupidly high so that it can kill all the bacteria then as it goes through the system. Then over the 24 hours the turnovers are happening it should bring the chlorine back down to normal levels and be fine to open again

Reading about what has happened, has put me off attending now. It's been a long time since I've been there and was considering getting back in to attending chams again. I'm not so sure now

I have to admit that i won't be too troubled about using it again as realistically these things do happen and it'll be a couple of weeks by the time I'm there again so it'll be filtered who knows how many times but then..

Two years ago in the lovely waters off Barcelona nude beach i had a huge turd float past me and i flew out of there at record speed..

But realistically you can't stay away forever and I've never seen anything like that in any previous years visits..so I'll be back in that Jacuzzi on the 20th I'm sure.
