Anyone ever used the Ibis in Newport for a meet? Staff discreet? Or any other suggestions? TIA

Near Cowbridge

Only used Cardiff hotels. Village is good and very discrete.

Torfaen/Gwent

I used it a few years ago, was able to leave a card at the desk for a visitor. Most hotels are pretty discreet.

Can also second the village hotel, I walked in to meet someone with zero issues, just went straight to the lift.

Basic rule: in chain hotels, the staff don't give a toss as long as you don't trash the rooms. They'll have seen everything many times.

As above, act normal and there won't be any problems. Staff would've seen it all before.

Haven't used a hotel since having a day room at Cardiff Gate in March 2020. But doubt things have changed much.
