Weighed myself today (9 weeks later) and im now weighing 16st 8lbs. I havent gone to the extreme in weight lose just changed my eating habbits and walking alot more. My goal is to get to 15st

Well done OP. I've been doing a calorie deficit diet and list nearly a stone already that I'd put on during lockdown and change of job that's not as active as previous one. Surprising how it creeps on. Just wish I had the motivation to go to the gym

I have the opposite problem - trying to keep healthy weight on. I love cardio but doing a lot makes me look like I've stepped out of a prisoner of war camp. I know I could ease up on it....but I love cycling and to a lesser extent distance running. It melts both fat and muscle like there is no tomorrow!

I'm actually surprised at how easy it is and not noticed being tired at all. I've actually had more energy cause of the weight loss if anything. I did it through a PT so doing it properly and got the support as well.

Good job man, 2lb a week is bang on the reccomended amount.

What I found helpful as well is a bit of intermittent fasting. It's let me go from 90kg in september to 70 this week

Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales)

Since the first lockdown, I decided if I couldn't go out, I would train at home.

Lost stacks of weight and feel so much better for it.

I've since moved overseas, and whilst it's much nicer here for being outside, there are a lot of bars open!!!

I'd look at your diet. There's an old saying "you can't put train a bad diet" and it's true.

Not knocking you at all, it's good that you're exercising, just trying to help.

Im 2 stone down since last July, though I feel i may have gained a few pounds the last couple of weeks.

Simple changes for me.

I quit the drink for a while - though I now can confidently have 1 or 2 without being blotto- i still don't over indulge.

I walk, hula and eat to live, not vice versa

I feel healthier, more energetic, and much nicer in my clothes

It's the feeling much better and being able to wear nice things comfortably that make the difference rather than numbers on a scale isn't it? I bought a bikini last month for the 1st time in my adult life, I'd have laughed 4 years ago if someone told me I would ever end up wearing one. Burned my bola though

A friend recommended fasting, cutting out lunch, and then working up to just your main meal every day, it works for me most days but if I'm starving I'll have some porridge or a banana to keep me going, don't do it off you have an energetic day planned though

Well done OP, and to all the others in this thread on your achievements

I used lockdown to my advantage, mainly due to having to work from home and needing to get outdoors for my own wellbeing.

This turned into a lot of walking and hiking, then decided to change some of my eating habits.

Before I knew it, 3 stone had gone and my energy levels have improved massively.

I have been maintaining my weight for about 6 months now, and decided to go to a gym to help tone myself up. At my age that doesn't happen overnight!!
