Definitely a mix.

It’s an official nudist beach, so there’s plenty of people there purely for the naturist lifestyle.

The basic rule in the years I’ve been going is - beach is not for playing. That said, I’ve seen a few things happen there, and some seem to be oblivious to the “code”.

Things definitely go on in the dunes. It’s obviously something that could be problematic if the authorities turn up, but it certainly goes on.

I think it’s a wonderful place - a truly stunning beach and area. It’s only fair to say that some people have concerns about the meerkats in the dunes though - guys on their own. I definitely understand those concerns.

between the villages of Dyffryn Ardudwy and Tal-y-bont there is a road goiung down to the coast, signed "Benar Beach.Dyffryn Seaside Estate" and with a small churxh on the junction. Take this, drive down for about 1 km (single track in parts) and you come to the camping/caravan areas. Turn left into the Seaside Estate and Dennis's field is immediately on the right (gate signed Pentre Mawr)

"We came last week for a day, it was lovely! Hot hot weather, got a little bit burnt (silly me!) but would definitely recommend going. We've never been to a nudist beach in the UK before but it's a lovely and clean beach. Xxher

Depends where you and your g/f were, if you went into the dunes then you strayed into perv territory. So if your in the dunes it’s assumed your a bit naughty abs don’t mind being watched / wanked over lol

We are looking to camp this weekend but weighing up what it's like and where to go. I was was looking at Dennis/Glynn's Field but is there no showers there (wifes request) if not any tips where to have a shower if we stayed there? I also looked at Benar Campsite. I see that has a walled off Naturist area and you pay £1 for showers but mixed reviews? Is that a better option for us? Or Shell Island and stay clothed. Any advice for our first time would be appreciated
