Do you make an effort when you message someone for a meet, or just don't bother with grammar, punctuation, or take time to see if the message makes sense ?

I like to take time because I like to read a message that shows a person as taken the time to write it, including some indication that they've read the profile. Despite taking time though, my grammar remains shit

A message must have been written with some consideration for us to think that we'd like to know more about the author. We don't object to cut and paste messages, but only if they are truly generic and don't include other peoples names etc.

As I want to meet people who articulate and intelligent, then yes, well-written messages are important to me.

Nothing worse than coming across 'lol' or 'gawjus' or 'nawty', as they drive me bonkers.

Though this was a swininging site, not an English Grammer lesson.

What difference does it make if a few full stops or commas are missing.

As long as it dont look like it was written by a two year old.

As you will see from your inbox Smiffy, we like to take our time and attempt to compose a grammaticly correct response to any mail recieved. We do not, however, object to paste and copy messages as long as they are generic and dont include others names or usernames. We always try to show ourselves as intelligent and articulate as this is us although we do use accronims such as lol and in the chat room as it is often hard to keep up with the general chit chat.

I alway try to keep it in normal and with proper grammar especially on a first mail. After the mail conversation moves on maybe that changes but I deffinetly make the effort

I try very hard to make sure my messages make sense.

I do find myself looking at a message afterwards and thinking , ohhhh no, I spelt something wrong, or that it makes no sense.... I feel really bad then.

I do prefer messages from people who have made the effort not to talk in text speech too. Feels more reassuring, or is that just me starting to show my age....

Bridgend Area

The way a message is written gives an insight as to the inteligence (or lack of) of it's author. A first message is the author chance to make an impression and first impressions are, in a lot cases make or break and i don't mean a missed comma here and there. A lot of people berate the site because they don't achieve any interest or meets, personally we believe it all to do with the 'first contact' message. For example a recent first message from a single guy hoping for a meet simply read 'Fem, Sub?...... what sort of response would you give? if any!

There's no reason for you to use acronyms or paste a generic message for a first message, there's spell checker to ensure no mistakes are made either.

Although this was a swinging site as they say "you only have one chance to make a first impression".

As a single guy I know for a fact that if I constructed a message as follows: "fancy a fuk gwegus lol" it would be deleted on sight rendering any further advances fruitless.

If I wanted to fuck a mindless female then I would send a half arsed message or go round the local drinking establishments on a Friday and Saturday evening.

I'm looking for sexually confident, like minded individuals. So it is prudent that I direct my efforts in producing a well crafted and concise initial message.
