For those of us who’ve been here a while, it seems to me that fab is pretty much done. The site is a shadow of its former self, which is completely understandable in the current circumstances, but sad to see all the same. It was really fun while it lasted but I’m not sure the site will bounce back after all this is over

In what way do you feel it's lost its way? We've been on here for about 6 years and it feels the same as when we joined, just with more fake profiles. We still get a lot of interest from genuine profiles and we've met some great people

I think, once the clubs reopen and people are sharing new meet photos, the site will wake back up. It's pretty well just a social network site right now.

I’ve only been on here 18 months, so I can’t comment on what it was like before that. But the fact that things have really slowed down on here recently seems to be totally down to Covid. I think when that’s over, whenever that will be, things will go back to normal here as well. I suppose it depends on whether you think the Fab normal of pre-Covid is a desirable thing or not.

Fab will recover in time same as every other aspect of society.

All other elements of the site are still functional except for physical meets. Forums, chat rooms, p.ms etc

site has drastically gone down hill last 5 years, doubt it will get back to the good old day's.

You get fakes everywhere unfortunately and that's what ruins it the most.

It's incredibly sad that people feel it's acceptable to do!!

We’ve been here over four years & agree that it’s nothing like it was but it’s not just fakes, it’s turning into Fabbook as well.

There are things that could be done to try to save it but the owners seem little interested in the long term if it affects their income now.

Once we move on & clubs can open it'll pick up again, most people like us are focusing on our lives & giving fab a break because we're only into the club & party scene.

If enough people want the scene to survive then it will, there's a lot of long term, committed people here who have worked had to keep parties & socials going, pre Covid.

It's still greed that will kill it off eventually though. it probably made money years ago & the owner probably also had a job as well, many do.

Then they want to kick back a touch so want more out of it, so they open it up more.

But if we are all honest maybe it's slowly changed from swingers happily paying subs for extra content to people paying subs in the hope it gives them more chances of a meet.

How many profiles say they won't meet non site supporters? Sounds like a bit of a "bot" type statement to me really.

Agreed on the point re: “fabbook”, and that’s nothing to do with lockdown. That was on the increase way before that, as was the decline. All lockdown has down is amplify / accelerate this

I personally think my profile is a lot better than some on here. The gross pictures that you can never unsee . The endless lists of what they want and dont want and the people asking for their pics to be fabbed, its very sad .

And why do people post 100s of pictures too. I just dont get it . We all know what tits a fanny and a cock look like and I for one havent got the time or inclination to take 100s of pics of myself

Fab is my Facebook, as I am not on the latter. All my friends are from here, they are the only type of people I want to know, to be honest. So whilst I'm guilty of being more a social media type member, I seem to be doing just fine with the swinging aspect of the lifestyle. Because that's what swinging is, a lifestyle choice.

This year was always going to be a detriment to the site and the membership, that's what happens when sexually bored people with no outlet cause. Once clubs and socials open up again, things will be a whole lot better than now.

Will interest in sex disappear? It hasn't whilst we are in times of danger, so unlikely when it's safer. Some users will have gone, others will come.

Is there a better alternative? No way. Few people have all their eggs in 1 basket - meeting in clubs, online, everyday places. Most of these are suppressed.

Fab is still free to use, so can support people who may have taken a financial hit, when they may have less cash for clubs etc.

Site functionality is the same, albeit with some features disabled. They will get turned on again.

We don't know the future of the virus but it's perhaps likely in a years time that vaccination will have overcome the biggest hurdle for us, alongside other measures.

Sure, some people will disappear for good. They might have done so without the virus. Sex needs will still continue and even though the user types here may change, that also happens periodically anyway

I tend to use it like Facebook aswell, mainly because i can’t stand Facebook. That and Twitter are like the cesspits of the internet. Well Twitter more than the other

You now have to be fcking Columbo & follow a veri trail & we just can’t be bothered anymore.

They now each need a bullet to the head & the cost that entails when they could have just locked the door in the first place.

Seriously though, how sad and bored do you have to be to set up a fake profile, then jump through the hoops of, paying site support, faking a photo validation, getting a conspirator to write a verification and then go to the trouble of sending messages around the doors?

When we joined, we would say out of every ten profiles messaged you'd maybe get five responses.(Our profile wants were more open then) Chat a bit, maybe one or two would instantly suggest kik or pic swapping etc. the language & or what was in the messages would scream "This is just a guy" or there'd be other signs of them being a fake, or just a pic collector.

You still had three or more chats with genuine people even if in the end those chats didn't go anywhere. This would include newbies.

Send ten messages now & include newbies & you'll probably get seven or eight fakes or pic collectors, five will message back & one or two will be genuine.

Like others we don't understand the why behind the numerous dodgy accounts, go get your rocks off on a porn site. It's not like they are after your bank account number or anything so why bother?

We chuckle to ourselves sometimes imagining a guy sending his single bifem pics to another single bifem. So online you have two hot women talking about sex & meets etc. While on the other end of the phones are two middle aged guys thinking they are the smart one who can charm this woman into sending naughty pics whatever.

Takes all sorts to make the world go round though..

Just checked our messages though & if you remove the forumites (whether forum related chats or not) then we haven't sent a first message in over a year..

There are a few moaning about mods but please bear in mind these people are voluntary and get nothing from the site for their tireless work.

I'm a great believer that they have more passion to make the site work than any other member.

We have only been here for a few months, But noticeably we have seen a rise in fakes and have even been had ourselves by fakes that seem genuine but it turns out just to be a single guy trying to get off. So in consequence we are not on here as much and that's probably safe to say about the majority of other genuine couples leading to a bigger presence of fakes xx
