"Camera van was in McArthur Glen in Bridgend the other day. Was issuing £1000 fines for anyone not from Bridgend borough" Now that’s just asking for trouble. we all know the rules at the moment, nobody likes them but it’s the way it is. Same as anything else in life, if you break the rules and get caught, don’t complain. Simple pimple

"Just had a letter drop through the door from parking eye Asda car park Blackwood overstayed by 10mins £100 reduce to £60 if paid within 28 days anyone help where I stand should I pay or ignore " I'm not saying it will work in your case but I had very similar but I was 20 mins over, argued the toss with them and wrote to Asda, told them I’d done my shopping then popped in the cafe, bumped into friends and clearly forgot about the 2 hour limit, I was warned next time I’d have to pay

"It’s not a lockdown fine I was over by 10mins of free 2 hours I live blackwood was in my borough I can look up the money experts was just asking what others have done " Pay it - legislation has changed and these fines are now enforceable. You’d have to hope that on the law of averages, with so may fines issued and not paid, parking eye don’t take you to court. But if they do decide to proceed you could be left having to pay the fine + admin costs + court costs

The fees have always been enforceable as in they can take you to the small claims court. If you park there every day & run up a load of tickets they may do.

"Car reg means nothing,,,mine is regestered to a property in Pontypridd and i live in Caerphilly,,,so camera vans Can not work out where you live" They Will send you a NIP section 172 telling you to furnish details of whom the driver was. Its an offence to fail to furnish. If you say its registered to an old address they won't have any sympathy and rightly so. Police will report you for failing to furnish and not updating register owner address simply isn't good enough as an excuse. The police can also inform the insurance company and you could be liable to an offence of fraud as location changes insurance rates. Pay it. Ignore this advice of reg means nothing. Its everything.

"Pay it People will tell you to ignore it Don't yes pay it they Will keep coming for it" They have never come for me or anyone else I know. It would probably cost them more to take someone to court than the worth of it.

"Pay it People will tell you to ignore it Don't yes pay it they Will keep coming for it They have never come for me or anyone else I know. It would probably cost them more to take someone to court than the worth of it. " They've already paid the DVLA to get the address of the registered owner. That's why the fee is higher than the original ticket price. The pay it early amount is the target amount they hope to get. Sending extra letters costs very little so is worth a go. Taking it to court is an up front cost to them which normally isn't part of their business model.

"It’s not a lockdown fine I was over by 10mins of free 2 hours I live blackwood was in my borough I can look up the money experts was just asking what others have done " We looked at MSE and contested it. Same as you in essence. Vehicle is in hubbies name, me on camera. Registered keeper not legally obliged to disclose who was actually in charge of vehicle at time of 'offence. The letters they send out are all Panda Car checkerboard design to frighten you. If it was you they probably have got you. If it was in a Supermarket car park, contact the manager if you are a regular customer. They can get them cancelled.
