Is it just me who can't wait to be able to go out to watch a band play live.

Weather it be in a pub or arena

Missing live music dreadfully.

Got loads of tickets pinned on my noticeboard all have had dates changed once or more.

The live music industry is on its knees and may never return as we knew it. Very sad indeed.

Me too. I’ve missed so many this year, and to be honest I can’t see how things will change enough for them to happen on their new scheduled dates.

I'm worried a lot of the mid range venues are going to go belly up with the 10pm curfew and reduced capacity. Can't see places like the Tramshed surviving.

Missed loads last year so was hoping next year would be better, we had tickets for Toots for next year that were carried over from this year but unfortunately he passed away a couple of weeks ago which just about sums the year up.

This year has been bad to me on the gig front, The Black Crowes and Rage against the Machine both cancelled.

I know there are bigger things going on, but I'm gutted.

Fingers crossed for next year. This year is a write off.

Gigs are my life and I’m so gutted not to be getting that buzz of being surrounded by thousands of people all singing and idolising the person/people on stage! Even more the small acoustic gigs in rooms in a pub. Hoping one day we will have this back!

One of the many simple pleasured in life we took for granted.

Perhaps we'll appreciate them even more when they return. And they will return one day

Newport

Most of our Vanilla nights out was always a pub with a live band in town.

Kinda pointless going to a pub just to sit at a table and drink without socializing, can do that at home in the garden or living room.

We would definitely echo what you wrote.

Gutted, the tour this year was his UK farewell tour, rearranged for next year and very sadly never got to say goodbye to his hoards of fans before his very well earned retirement.

We're the same as you, we love the live music pub scene in Newport, we've not bothered going out since the pubs reopened.

We have the beautiful south/paul heaton/ Jackie Abbott in April or may rescheduled from this year, not very optimistic about that one and we have a butlins Alternative weekend booked for Oct I think or maybe late September.. fingers crossed for that one.
