The country does not have enough money to lockdown again. That why they trying keep pubs open. To bring in revenue

Reckon Newport the way people were in city centre last Saturday

Very few wearing masks and no social distancing

Talking about the daytime must be worse in the evenings

Port Talbot

Newport has around the same daily numbers as Cardiff. If they go by the number of people in the area then it's likely to be locked down first.

I did read the article. I haven't been out in town itself since before lockdown, I tend to stick to one or 2 pubs local or in Ponty and they're doing a great job

The problem was that once public gatherings were allowed people flooded to the beach and bars etc. Without wishing to course offence to people living in the valleys etc but there isn’t a lot to do so you can’t blame them for heading to the coast. After a few drinks social distancing goes out of the window and now we can see the results. I’m lucky as I live in Cardiff and like others found many ways to enjoy myself eg walks and cycle rides so when things were lifted it didn’t really change anything. I also think that people under 30 must be monitored as although they are safer it doesn’t stop them spreading it
