Cliques, groups, whatevers, do you think we have them on FAB?

Im just curious as to people see groups of people on here are simply groups of people or cliques?

It can be quite hard to break into the chat room if you are fairly new and no one wants to give you a break.

Do you think its a case of who you know, or what you say when you talk in the chat room that makes people want to talk to you?

Just looking for opinions here, nothing personal.

When I first started in the chat room I found it very difficult and of course being a single guy..... Won't go there shall we

But since getting to speak to a few people would just like to say I thoroughly enjoy it and of course there a groups of people that are closer. I have chatted to a few people that I would call friends something that I don't do easily. The majority of people on here are very genuine and I have chatted to those that I know I'm never going to meet but can have some good fun chatting.....

This is only an opinion and we are allowed opinions ....... here goes ..... there are "cliques" and "groups" aswell as "gangs", but this isnt exclusive to Fab. In every walk of life, every place of employment and every social group these exist. It is a part of human nature and a way of detaching oneself from the masses or minorities in every walk of life. We are both laid back and like other posters to this forum will talk to and meet socialy anyone who wants to know us. The problem is some dont want to know us and others are so two faced that they dont know if they want or dont want to meet us. Accept it, ignore it or join it, there are lots of us who dont care either way and will carry on regardless, oh and PROF we estimate this thread will go on for at least another 20 posts before it is either closed or ignored

Theres only one way to get accepted in a chat room, get your boobs out!!..

I have sat there night after night, introduced myself, tried to join in the banter, start a topic of conversation etc only to be ignored while the regulars steamroller their conversation through, brushing everyone else aside in the process.

Which is why I rarely bother any more, unless im feeling horny and go looking for a decent guy who can actually write a sentence without the words, 'fist', 'spurt' 'gush' 'into' or phone!

I have tried to speak to couples, no chance, as as for all these 'bi females'...pah!

they, despite the description, are not the place for socialising it seems.

My location is set as the south west but im actually in S Wales,yes i do find there are cliques and groups on here but as stated in another post then you will find that in all walks of life be it pubs clubs or workplaces.I dont use the chat rooms very often but when i do then there does seem to be the same set of people in there chatting to each other but thats simply because through time they have gotten to know each other which is great,but i must say that at no time ever have i been made to feel like an outsider,each time i have gone into welsh chat then everyone has been fantastic and chatty and most helpful at any questions i have asked

Can't be arsed with cliques yes they do exist and yes there are people who don't like me that is thirty choice and yes there are people I don't talk to again my choice but usualy talk to and have a laugh with any one life is all about choice otherwise it would be boring

i talk to anyone me lol dont give a shit and i make sure if a new one says hi room then i will say hi back so it depends on them i spose init. some just come in and pick one person to talk to then i dont bother init so is they say hi room then most of the room would say hi back i think init lol dish x

Agree with what you said but it is also true that some people on here bad mouth other people trying to put them off other couples etc we have met a couple who told us this but it didn't put them off as they found out there selves so there are cliques or sheep as we call them who follow the crowed rather than have there own views they get swayed by other people.

shame on the bad mouthing backstabbers we say,if the cap fits lol

We'd have to agree and disagree with this as we always meet cpls socially and so far they've gone great. Sadly we found the socials even more cliquey than the chatroom. Some cpls won't solialise if you've turn them down sexually xxx

We have found that there are small circles of friends and have found it difficult to get a conversation started in the chatrooms, sometimes we feel like the Waltons (only saying only Hi and Bye).

We have been to numerous socials now, our first time we went round the venue and introduced ourselves to everyone we knew in chat, this was an icebreaker in itself as they had never seen us before.

Oh agree there are certain people who like to rule the roost so to speak. Influencing views on other couples/people . We have learnt not to listen to the rumours / back stabbing and we make up our own opinions now!

Some People got nothing better in their lives than whinge...... get some wood build a bridge and Get over it.

It is notoriously hard at times to get into the chat and banter of the room but as I have always told other people stick at it and yout will eventually get noticed.

Tis has been called stuck up by many. She's not stuck up at all, she has standards and because she sticks to them, those turned down start talking crap or shit stirring. Pretty sad really

I try to make time to talk to anyone and everyone in the chatroom. Sometimes though people enter and just say hi to one specific person. In which case I feel there's no point in talking to them as they only wish to talk to that one person?

If a newbie comes into the room I personally make an effort to involve them in the chat. This is presuming they just say a basic hi or hi room.

I'm sociable so talk to everyone... until I lose the thread of topics lol.

Ok, hyperthetical situation....

You walk int a pub and say helooo....

A group of friends are sat together by the bar. do they say hellooo back ? or do they continue to chat to eachother ?

Its the way sociaty is today. People on chat dont mean to be rude (most of them) but are engrosed in conversation with poeple they know off the site.

If your going to make yourself heard, then you have to go for it !

If I was out in town and wanted to get into a conversation with someone, I go and bloody talk to them.

If they dont accept me, then thats their loss, not mine.

For many years on this site, this thread has been posted over and over again. Its enevitable that there are going to be questions of why people stick together and that makes other users fell left out.

Thats what forums are for and its great that others have put their input on this.

Being fairly new to the site and scene it has been difficult being accepted. I have been to one social and will TRY and attend others (if numbers aren't so limited) I have to say that I was told that the site and socials can be cliquey but will reserve judgement for now. Happy Days Love people who reserve judgement untill they can form thier own opinions, we generally do the same and we are loving this thread even tho as CJ and Kitts pointed out, it is old and has been done before. We still talk to almost anyone, Kay loves chatting to TV/TS/CD and we accept everyone for who they are and what the Stereotype says they are. This said though if your and As****e and you piss us off we wont talk to you Love to all

I'd most definitely say there is cliques!!

I recently had a bad meet & since I've had a few cancellations from the same 'circle.'(??)

Now obviously we all have friends (on the site) that we talk to about our meets, but unless they knew prior to the meet who it was, I have not mentioned who the bad meet was with, to ANYONE.

Now I'm straight down the line, say it how I see it. But always allow other to find out for themselves with regards to people. Undirectly asked what I think of someone.

It happens even with cpls you think are freinds. We met a cpl and the guy is an old work college and had a big surprise to find out a cpl who we thought were friends were less than complimentary about us.
