Anyone else had they're career ruined by covid?

I've been made redundant myself from a job I actually liked, decided to go it alone and start up my own electrical business. Scary times for lots of people.

Anyone else changed?

Good luck with your new venture OP. Self employed television & electronics engineer here.

Yep, redundant. Used to be a photographer, tempted to startup again. Building up a portfolio is such a slog though.

Yes it's messed up my plans and left me with no money. I haven't done anything for months.

I needed an electrician recently but couldn't get hold of one. I think you will do well considering the money they can charge

I'm very reasonable lol.

I really feel for all the people who are struggling atm. For many it's almost business as usual, but a lot are loosing jobs and trying it themselves.

Thumbs up to you all, good luck, were going to need it!

Started my company in January, and worked it out, I'm massively down on pre tax profit with the bookings I had in. Devastating.
