Macclesfield

Hey everyone, will be heading to Llangollen and the surronding areas next month, I was wondering if anyone knows of any nice walks nearby? As unfortunately with the current crisis, meets aren't an oprion

Numerous options from easy to strenuous

Easy

Along canal in either direction

West to its source at the horseshoe falls with detour to Valle crucis abbey..

East to trevor and world famous ffroncystlle aqueduct...

Hard

Up hill from town to dinas bran castle...downhill coming back...!!

Or depending on time a combination of a couple..

Along canal to trevor..trevor up to the garth..

Then along a road known as the panorama offering magnificent views along the dee valley from up high and out towards england (but who wants to look in that direction)..

Proceed along this road to approach dinas bran from northern side and descend back into llan..

There could be others..

Trust your visit will be after our mr drakeford declares the border open

All good walks those, plus you could walk from the panorama up along the path to worlds end then up towards minera mountain and along the offas dyke path towords llandegla, when get into the forest road turn left and head for the mast, from the mast you can go down to the ponderosa and then down the road at the back of the cafe to pentre dwr and make your back into llangollen.

Plus there are many other walks up the other side of valley over towards nantyr and glyn ceiriog

North Wales

You can walk the canal all the way to Chirk.and beyond. Would be great if pubs were open en route. Always meant to do it but still haven't got round to it.
