Anyone doing anything particularly fun for the Jubilee (in a non swinging way) ? Much happening round your area or are people not too bothered?

personaly i have got a shed load of beer and plan to sit in all day watching my 48" plasma TV all weekend, i have the 2012 grand slam DVD to watch the 2008 and 2005 dvds, the lord of the rings triolgy the entire star wars series and the first 18 lost dvds.

by the time i surface reality is back to normal

Seems to me that the jubilee celebrations are nowhere near as big as those of 77..

It's because we aren't as British as we used to be. Just take a wander around your nearest large supermarket and listen to the number of different languages being spoken. I'm not saying that diversity in the population is a bad thing but a lot of the people living in Britain today that haven't orginated here have little or no interest in the Monarchy or other traditions of the country.

Yep..and add the that there is is barely a large business left in the UK that isnt foreign owned, buses, water, electric gas utilities, banks, steel, car industry, even the premiership..all mostly foreign owned.

Even the seven bridge is run by a French firm..this country is just a franchise these days.
